This is my first NL grow, only second period. Can anyone describe how a NL plant (this one is Vision Seeds) looks like after 30 days? These are totally squat and bushy. Very vegetative and developing, showing very early flowering just now. One is almost 13 inches, the others 7 and 8 1/2 inches (those are the ones raising the question). They're next to a White Dwarf standing at 15 1/12 inches. Before getting into grow details I'd like to know what kind of profile is normal for them.

well they are on the short side, do you have any pics?

detail on lights and soil?
there are man different things that lead to plants being short

I will effort the pix. Meantime, which do you think are small, the 7-8 inchers or all of them?

There are many factors. Soil is Happy Frog/perlite 3/1. Under CLW 440 Solar Storm in veg 250watts and four 42 watt cfls.

white dwarf sounds about right, 13 for nl still on the small side but that also depends on pot size and lights, the better/bigger the set up the bigger the plants, what is average is dependant on the entire set up
but yes in general all smallish, bu you can still pul a good yield off a short plant, you said its bushy? that's great thing

advertised as 100-130cm, you might be lucky to get to 30cm with a good growth spurt during the preflower stage, unless you have had that spurt?

30 cm is 12 inches. 2 plants are already that. 115 cm=4 ft. I think your facts are wrong. This is an auto.

no need to argue with him hes tryin to help you. if you had pics would be better cause hes right. how far are ur lights? are ur plants stretching? with pics its easier for people to answer ur question, I keep all my plants under 24 inchs. on purpose.

NL should be big, so only the highest one is somehow on the track. But the real stretch comes after day 25-30. You do not describe much, so it is hard to tell.

I had grown Greenhouse seeds NL and RQS NL, plants were big, 100 cm, very sensitive for my mistakes and smoke was worth nothing at the end in both grows. Really nothing. It had got molded after time and I was happy to throw the remain away. Together with NL plants, Think Different (Dutch Passion) and Royal Critical (RQS) had been grown, both rewarded me with nicely smokable buds even when my growing was everything but good. Of all 4 strains grown together, TD was the winner, and Northern Light was not worth growing.

I am afraid it does not sound good for you, but that was my experience with 6 NLs of 2 different seed banks. If that was only one plant, I would say that I had screwed something, which I really had, or bad pheno, but 6 plants (they had yielded 30-50g per plant, but buds were no worth, just had no smell, no potency, nothing). And both times there was another strain besides in same environment doing much better.

Good Luck!

As per manufacturer advice started 30 inches. Now about 22 inches. Not stretched. Short and bushy.

Quick pic. Heights adjusted on props to equalize height under light. The front left (White Dwarf) and back right (NL) are on floor. The squirts (front right and back left) are NLs, short but vegetative.
