New Grower Looking for input from experienced Northern Lights growers

On a side note, my only completed grow, 2 White Dwarves, only attained heights of 21 and 16 inches yielded 3 oz and 2 1/2 oz respectively, dry, which I thought was pretty good.

my northern light blue is only 23 inchs tall and smoke is and has been potent as shit for at least the last 10 days. I could have made her stretch but I would rather have my buds stacked on top of each other rather that spaced out. that's just my opinion. to each his own.

Cool looking plant. An I assume you're saying it's not growing much more.

FWIW, Vision Seeds says: the photos run 3-4 feet, autos up to 2 1/2 feet. I asked.

no shes done. prolly comin down Monday. only experience I had with vision seeds was there white widow and both of them stayed under 18 inchs. but you still got a long ways ta go. mine usually really take off from like day 35- 50 or somewhere in there. I was just lookin at vision seeds ak 49. prolly gonna pic that one up.

30 cm is 12 inches. 2 plants are already that. 115 cm=4 ft. I think your facts are wrong. This is an auto.

facts confirmed, why ask a question if your to stubborn to believe an answer?
an yes I am aware 30cm is 12 inches, none of your plants are going to get much bigger, your dwarf is not to bad but your nl all small an our 7-8 inch plants will be lucky to get to 30cm

so wah wah to you for not being told what you wanna hear

As per manufacturer advice started 30 inches. Now about 22 inches. Not stretched. Short and bushy.

Quick pic. Heights adjusted on props to equalize height under light. The front left (White Dwarf) and back right (NL) are on floor. The squirts (front right and back left) are NLs, short but vegetative.

front left looks good, looks as though it has had is spurt, the 2 at the back look like they are about to have a good spurt and will
the size of your plats are greatfo the cfl's you are using, you could get more ize wth more lights
wha are the spec of your LED, is it reputable company, how many watts per chip?

Thanks to all.,

Faded, for hard data from an actual NL grower. Apologies for stupidly asking if your plant is done growing. I can see the picture. It can only grow fatter. NL Blue is Delicious Seeds? They say it can get to 70cm so you're right on. Theirs look just like yours.

Storm, stubbornly denying facts am I? Jury is still out. Facts unclear. Gonzo gets 100 cm Greenhouse plants of poor quality. Greenhouse Seeds state theirs get to 90-120 cm. Delicious' get up to 70cm. http://www.greenhouseseeds.nl/shop/nl-automatic.html.
Delicious' get up to 70cm. http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Northern_Light_Blue_Auto/Delicious_Seeds/

Vision? Considering how diverse the different NL breeds should have asked for experience Vision NL growers. They get how tall? I got this from a data sheet from Vision:

So, if we can accept this as fact we can tearlessly proceed to why plants in the growing environment I have established tend to be smaller than average. I wonder about lighting, how plants do under LED, and what would happen under hid which I've never used. And if I let them get too dry early effecting root ball size. Aside from the four 42 watt 6500k cfls my main light is this: http://californialightworks.com/product/solar-storm-440/

Any Vision NL growers in the house? Anyone with a picture of a fully grown Vision NL?

Hey,

I've been researching why my plants are not getting any taller as well. Seed bank (RQS) claims 80-120cm and my plant is at about 50cm right now, and doesn't seem to grow much last days (it has grow 1 or 2 cm in 5 days). However keep in mind that this is a living organism and a lot of factors can affect it.

Some questions I've asked myself:

- is the lights too far / too close?
- is the lighting enough?
- did the plant suffer for any problems, especially during veg stage?
- was it fed propertly?
- is the pot big enough or is it root bound?

You see, the problem with autos is that they genetically start flowering after a period of time. Unlike photo sensitive plants, where if something goes wrong at veg stage you can fix it by waiting for a few extra weeks, this is not possible with autos.

In your case, maybe that LED plus the CFL is too much light. It is using 5 watt leds and uses 235W in veg mode, that's quite a lot I think. 60cm is not that far way, I had mine at 60cm all veg stage and the power is half of that. And I didn't have any CFLs either.

I've been hob nobbing with you on your NL thread. This is how we roll.

I think when all is said and done and all the analyzing has worn us down the bottom line is what you first allude to, that they're living organisms and will respond as they will. Point is, how can I point to lighting factors when I have one plant totally squat and another ( a Buddha Seeds White Dwarf) acting more stretchy, growing quickly, under the same light. If I have 3 NLs, one barely average height and two way short under the same conditions as a WD growing readily I'm looking at the genetics as the main factor. The Vision Seeds NL has been a top seller at the bank I got mine from so......

Whatever. Check this pix out. White Dwarf on the left looking stretchy. 3 NLs to it's right. Notice the height variations.View attachment 392578

Wow all these where started at the same day? The White Dwarf looks like it is flowering already.

Anyway the genetics are different, Indica / Sativa ratio too as well between NL and White Dwarf.

From what I can tell from this photo, my NL at day 32 looked more like your 3rd one. I guess you are looking at about 2x the height you have now. From what I read, plants from seeds, don't turn all the same, even if raised in the same conditions, that's why clones are preffered from growers with a big grow.
