Mephisto Soil additive and Kind Soil

I haven't seen any by side either but @Eyes on Fire has used both and from what I gather from watching a lot of his posts and talking with him the kind soil is a bit better. Both have their learning curves thou. I see a lot of people saying they want to go to the water only cause it will save time and be easier. That maybe true but it will take time to get full potential grows from them. I have my first grow almost done now from the mephistos soil mix and I can tell you now I already know 20 things I can improve on for the next run. I'm going to run the kind next but treat it as a completely new soil to me. What worked for one won't necessarily work for the other. Just pick one and have patience it will produce for you. That's just what I gathered from my research.

yep I would take everything folks in the Kindsoil Commune have learned to try and help even out the learning curve

just started a grow using kindsoil but am about to start another doing some in kind soil and some in mephisto soil mix - any important tips you could give on the mephisto soil that you've learned? :3

And if you really want to throw a wrench in the works, there's also a third option of the 2.1 Master Soil Mix kit from TLOSoils. Not much on it around the forums, but it's another one that Eyes mentioned that I'm in the process of testing out (cooking a batch now for next grow). :smoking:

well to clarify ,imho the mephisto mix is more stable through flower ,but the KS mix is going to be larger generally speaking and if you can get flower to perform it will out perform the dry mix of GBD's. but for lack of any issues since Im not 100% on quality control of the KS mixes.I have used what seems to be two different mixes actually or batches from KS.

and the 2.1 will out perform both of them combined with better results and stability.

Just got my KS and my super soil mix is on it's way. Was thinking of doing side by side but now I have a third option. I just want an effective simple organic grow. Think I am just going to do them one at a time with different strains and see what works for me. I am not looking for largest yields or highest THC just the right medicine.

I'm gonna start 9 seeds tomorrow I think (3 diff small strains in 2 and 3 gal smartpots) - ill make sure to do a side by side for each of the three strains in each soil. 9 is too much for a 4x4 I know but just trying to sure I'll have enough for a good yield in case I lose a couple along the way.

well, with a properly done organic soil the Potency and superior high is whats gonna happen anyways so thats a major plus eh?!LOL! the organic dry mix from mephisto will tend to be more of a better rounded feed, and the Kind Soil will lack in flower if the plant gets larger/taller..the flower foods lack. some straight flower granules blended into the mix with the roots for a week would be an ideal fix temporarily. careful they dont take off too terribly on you.
