Background info: So my landlord does not want me growing. He will evict me if he finds out, even though I have a goddamn state license. And he is coming to my house tomorrow to "check things out". He has done it before and is just going to walk around everywhere in the house to make sure everything's in one piece.

Here is the problem: I have a closet with a 400w hps and and exhaust fan thats loud. Along with six 6 week old vertigo autos basking in the sunlight.

Here is my solution: Turn off the hps and let it cool. Turn off the exhaust fan. That should take care of the sound sketchiness. Supply light with about 236w of CFLs. That should keep them on there photoperiod (does that matter with autos? Will fucked up lighting periods cause hermies?) while keeping the temps in the closet down. I plan on keeping the closet in this setup for about 6 hours.

Here are my concerns: Besides the fact that all he has to do is slide my closet door open and im fucked, will my babies be alright with such a huge decrease in light for those 6 hours? Is this going to cause stress? Affect Yield? Stunt growth? Or fuck them up in anyway?

Light schedule dose not matter with Autos, If you had to you could leave them off all day and they will be fine...

I agree with GoAuto, you'll be fine turning everything off for the day and kicking it back on when he's disappeared. I've had plants in 'stasis' (on my bookshelf) for 2 weeks with zero help to stay alive and then I threw them back in the tent, both flowered perfectly well, with no loss of yield (that I noticed), they just took two weeks longer than their sisters

Btw, he has no right opening anything of yours, especially your wardrobe. He can walk around his property to check everything's in order but there' no way he can start rummaging through your things. So long as there's no noise and light leaking from there then you'll have nothing to worry about.

I'd just make sure to burn some incense, light a scented candle, cook some bacon or something before he turns up just so he can't con you into believing he can smell pot growing. One step ahead

Wow bro that sucks man! I feel for you cause I use to grow at rental properties and it's a bitch. You'll be alright bro. I have done he same thing these guys have done. They will fine. Just make sure you can't smell them like they said! Good luck brother and let us know how it turns out!

Haha, very true, just been using it myself for as long as I can remember so it's like second nature to me

Bake some bread, cook some toast or fry some bacon. They're the best cooking smells to mask pot in the house
