hey lads , been on here for a while doing research but this is my first post , this is my first grow im just experimenting , i got my first seed 3 days ago and germinated it in a glass of water for 12 hours and then used the paper towel method and the root sprouted yesterday morning , i read on numerous forums that the ideal germination temp was 20c - 25c but here in Ireland it was more like 15c - 18c . i planted it yesterday morning in a 12L pot with plagron light mix , considered using bat mix but i read its too strong for seedlings , its been sunny yesterday and today so shes been indoor on my window sill , im buying a 125cfl tommorrow so she'l be in a 2 x 3 wardrode from now on , i've got a few more seeds for backup just incase something goes wrong: any advice for a newbie is welcome : cheers lads

cheers for the welcome lads , ill invest in a ph meter soon :Cool: the strain ive got going at the minute is an Autoblueberry from Expert Seeds and ive got a few Caramella Auto for backup lol there mostly Indica , so mostly for medicinal purposes , my Dad can barely walk because of hip pain , i read online maybe it would help him out a little hopefully , to be honest i dont smoke much (sorry lads) but its a nice feeling when you see a seed growing and its because you care for it and feed it , hopefully she,ll emerge from the soil tommorrow and il throw some pics up , i mean no disrepect lads when i say i dont smoke much , ive been on this forum a while but because of my social anxiety ive been a bit nervous to post , but from what ive read all you lads seem sound so cheers agaiin lads i appreciate it

Welcome Mike from a fellow countryman (though I haven't lived there since 1982). It doesn't matter if you don't partake much of the sacred 'erb, you'll get all the help you need here to grow meds for your Dad.

I think you've amde a good choice with that soil! I've seen many good grows with it, check out some of TaNgs (one of the AFN super growers) grows, i think he uses that!

The best advice i can give is to start a journal when you start germing your seeds or when they pop above ground, post your setup details and watering, condtions and nute schedule with some pictures and people can keep an eye on girls and help where needed. We get a great success rate with first time growers getting to harvest here ^_^
