Here you go Neko! I spent most of the day yesterday tinkering with my system. I may have made it more complex than it needs to be. What a surprise! I did manage to get the seedlings into the res.

That one seedling that was not presenting well just doesn't want to turn up to the light. It's OK I need one spot where I can take the net pot out to check pH and TDS. When the plants get big I can't pull them out of the res. So one small one or any empty space is needed and I've filled the res completely.



Elsa have you been to Spain? The wine is cheaper than bottled water. Between that and the bud I better wait until retirement.

I spent a couple weekend's in Spain back in the 70's when I was stationed in Germany while in the Army.figured I'd never get there again so went all over Europe every chance I got.

El Sam, I was last in Spain in 1976. I was a kid but I remember it very fondly. Drinking Gassosa and wine 1/2 and 1/2. I've always said that if I was to move I'd love to be on the Med. Coast.

Ksj, I'll sort it all soon. I've got the recirculation running 30 min on and 45 min off. I'm trying to shove a lot of water through a small pipe.

If you can recirc. the hole system "all the water" in a 24 hour period,,then i think you are good to go..

Thanks Ksj, I need to do some plumbing to get the flow up in my controller or switch over to the ice maker controller. It's always something.

I am beginning to wonder if the seedlings I am killing are starving to death. Saturday I noticed some of the same symptoms on my current seedlings and I know this time that the system was thoroughly rinsed before I placed the seedlings in it, The seedlings were beginning to get very light green and the first set of leaves on the larger plants were getting a little yellow near the tips. I started feeding the plants Saturday and the are already beginning to show improvement. I have been operating under the assumption that the seedlings could go up to a couple of weeks before feeding but maybe not in hydro. You got me.

Yea, I figured the same thing. Didnt even think about it starving from no nutes. I guess soil has a little something different going on. :dunno:
