Grow Room OS 24 Carat

Thanks Buddy! We're limping along here waiting for the beneficial bacteria to arrive. I ordered Root Assist Complete and Res Clear from Skunk Labs. When they arrive tomorrow (hopefully) I've got to drain and clean my res and start over without H2O2. The Root Assist ia a 48 hour tea. The Res Clear is immediate. I'm with you on the multi strain grow. It's fascinating. One of my Auto Blues is showing some type of deficiency in the lower leaves but I afraid to up the feed as everyone else seems happy. I'm amazed that all of the plants seem to be liking 800 ppm.

I did an interesting experiment last night. I mixed up some distilled water and H2O2 to 50 ppm, in a 16oz cup and dunked the roots of one of the OSS Auto Soviets. When I pulled the plant out of the solution something was smoking. I don't know if it was the roots or the algae but it was smoking. I let the plant sit in the air for 30 sec. then rinsed it and put it back in the res. When I got home tonight and checked the plant it looks fine. It did not seem to help or hurt. I read about this somewhere. I'll have to find that article.

Hmmm, your speaking another language with me haha. Wish I had hydro knowledge. or experience for that matter. Some more karma for you since I cant give advice.:karma Cloud:

Thanks Neko! I wish I had hydro knowledge too. Advice I have plenty of but I'll take a heaping helping of that karma.

So I am the proud new owner of more stuff to add to my res! :woohoo: I'm running out of room to store bottles. I've started with ResClear. Let's see how that treats me.

My roots look dull. I'm hoping to see some new growth once the roots recover. The plants are still stretching but I think they're all stunted to some degree.

"Munch..munch..munch

Plants are looking great
Are the algae battle going in the right direction??
Keep it up Jack

ditch the molasses, it always causes problems in hydro. Organic hydro is very difficult, best to use something like Bontanicare's Pure line. The other option is to do a Krathy style bucket and grow in a moderately strong organic tea. You'll still need to change the res ecery 2-3 weeks, but heat is much less of an issue. I've grown in solution with temps up to 82F. I'll be trying this in a larger bucket soon.

Just food for thought! :Sharing One:

Thanks pop & Ksj! The res temp is up to a balmy 62F. It's been nice and cool for months. I'm using a product from Skunk Labs called ResClear which is a sterilizer. I also bought their Root Assist but it's a bacterial tea and I think the res is too cool for the bacteria to thrive. Here is a shot of the roots at Day 34. They look really underdeveloped to me. The plants look OK. I've got a bit of yellowing in the leaves at the bottom of some of the plants.

I'm folial feeding to try to help the plants while their roots recover. The ResClear is definitely keeping the brown slime at bay.

Love following hydro grows (even though im in soil) mind if i tag along
