A friend gifted me seeds labeled RQS Diesel Auto. I planted the seeds outdoors on July 1 knowing I'd have ample time to harvest before frost. The plants grew and grew with no signs of flowering, and finally flowered after getting head tall. These seeds are definitely a photo strain that he mislabeled. The buds are absolutely huge, but are still well short of showing any signs of pistil browning.

Is there any product available that can ripen the plants more quickly? I think I'll run out of time before a frost. Thanks

I heard that ripe fruits around your plants give off ethylene gas which speeds up flowering "supposedly ". Not sure how it would be applied outdoors though.

Puting ice cubes around the roots may make the plant think it is getting colder than it is? This might sped things up? I don't know it seems I read this somewhere?

I thought about ethylene gas from fruit, but as mentioned previously, it would be hard to control the gas outdoors. It would be more simple if it was indoors, but with that being the case, frost wouldn't be a potential issue.

I'm using bloom enhancers, and the colas are getting fatter and fatter...lol. Just wish they'd show some sign of browning pistils so I could be a bit more sure of a harvest.

May sound funny , but if it's one plant and it's not to wide/tall , you can use a portable shower with blackout material on the inside to force it.
I've done it on a stubborn plant . Just put the shower over her late day , then take it off mid morning. Gives a longer " night" cycle
