Back in Hawaii, Reggae Music dropped the panties, but Hotel Duos/Trios paid the bills. I was in a band called Sounds of Addiction that had a regular gig at the now closed down Paradice Blues on Maui. We did reggae cover music, but because I represent Psychedelic Rock, I brought a lot of Hendrix-esque sensibility to the music. To be honest, I was not familiar with really any of the newer Reggae we were playing. I'm more into the "classics:" Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Desmond Dekker, Israel Vibration, Greg Issacs, etc.

I was also in a couple Hotel bands/duos/trios out in Kaanapali. Dinner Music, contemporary and Traditional Hawaiian, Jazz, Blues, R&B, etc. Like I said, that paid the bills, but wasn't my favorite music gig.

My favorite music experiences and what I prefer, is "the Jam". It's as close to having a conversation (imho) as it gets between musicians. No script, just Jam (as Michael Jackson said - JAM! It ain't too a-much for me to JAM!). The Jams helped me tighten up my Bass, Keyboard, Percussion and woodwind playing (Played Saxophone back in High School) for sure.

After I moved to Colorado, I have really fallen out of the music scene. However, my Bluegrass and Country licks have really become more refined. Currently woodshedding trying to get down a good solo guitar/vocal gig for the bars around here.

Only videos I have on youtube are from the Reggae band I was in back on Maui, Sounds of Addiction. That's me on Lead/Rhythm Guitar with the Hendrix Shirt playing the 1979/80- Black Strat with a lei hanging on the headstock on a Mesa Mark IV. This was at the Pacific University Luau After Party in Forest Grove, OR. They flew us up from Maui to play. I left the band shortly after, so the Pacific U videos are the only ones with me in it.

I can't read tabs... yet! I play scales... little bits of songs that I do know... play around with the capo and some peddles... mostly I just do it just to play an instrument. Occasionally it sounds alright and its a huge boost in my spirits once I get all the jitters out and begin to play well, even if its a shitty riff I've played a million times to myself, it only sounds really good when I'm focused and relaxed... and high.
