I purchased the following 11 seeds from the Single Seed Centre and want to end up growing 8 plants. So I need to make some choices about what 3 not to initially plant, leave in reserve if needed. The seeds are:

Cream of the Crop » Cash Crop Automatic
Delicious » Northern Light Blue Automatic
Dutch Passion » AutoWhite Widow
FastBuds » Mexican Airlines [auto]
Flash » Kush van Stitch Automatic
Flash » Onyx Auto
Lowlife » Auto AK Diesel [seemingly new]
Lowlife » Auto AK47 #2 [seemingly new]
Sweet » Auto Dark Devil
Sweet » Jack 47 Automatic
World of Seeds » Wild Thailand Ryder [auto]

Are there any among these I should avoid, known problematic or less desirable strains? I plan to plant my seeds tomorrow in Root Riot starter plugs.

All of these seemed very worthy, good, to me, from the limited research one can do online. Selection was driven by my personal desires for variety, both for consumption and getting exposure to growing diverse strains, with a definite bias for high THC and yield.

More background: I will be using a GrowLab 80L (1.2 sq. meter/12.9 sq. ft) tent, pure coco coir, 900-watt LED, 8 Root Builder II High Five (genuine, not trade, 5 gallon/20 L) air/prune pots filled with pure coco coir, watering manually (drain-to-waste). I will be writing more about this when I start a grow journal for real.

Flash has been having issues with strains not autoflowering so I'd hold off on those. Also since you have two ak47 based strains choose one to set aside for now. I've never heard of FastBuds either, so if you want to grow both 47 based strains then set the Mexican Airlines aside. Just my opinion, best of luck to you! They're all great choices.

I have a couple of different soulitions for you and I hope they help.

First is what I would do if they were mine, I would leave out the Mexican Airlines, the Wild and either the Thai Ryder or Onyx. Now I have not done any specific research on any of these strains(except the Auto White Widow, Ak#2, AK diesel and the Dark Devil all of those are CHOICE seeds for sure especially the Auto WW from Dutch Passion)

Now the second option, put all of the seeds into labeled pieces of paper and mix them up, pull 3 out and grow the 8 left. Because you have such a wide variety of strains you really are just guessing no matter how you slice it. You picked each of those strains for a reason so there are no bad choices. Just pick you 8 and roll with it.

Or you can get real nerdy with it and try to group them based on some trait you want, indica or sativas or purples or whites or reds type thing. So I guess that is 3 options lol hope this helps

Lowlife/Flash/Fast Buds all iffy breeders. Lowlife has had problems for a while, flash is more recent and I been waiting on a response from fast buds for about 10months now. Everything else I'd say you couldn't go wrong with.

Actually, I presume all of these strains have had positive feedback on AN, or else they wouldn't have made my list.

The Flash seeds were selected because they were cheaper, and I recall good reports on AN with Onyx. Kush Van Stich Auto was only $3.00/1.90 Euro, and was always my lowest priority.

With Lowlife, the Auto AK Diesel and Auto AK47 #2 seeds, these 2 strains were both hyped as new and improved next generation versions/derivatives of strains this company has long marketed. I'll surely be growing one, if not both, of these.

FastBuds, the other "iffy" or non-AN-know breeder actually has some interesting strains, including some with good reputations. I just want to grow a Mexican strain, recalling exquisite 3-ft. long Oaxacan buds a friend smuggled (from Mex. to US) a long time ago.

You will end up growing all of them so it really doesnt matter unless you are growing for specific med purposes or have other motivating factors behind your grow(IE providing others with medicine) Just my two cents though

OK, 8 seeds were planted. The line up is:

Cream of the Crop » Cash Crop Automatic
Dutch Passion » AutoWhite Widow
FastBuds » Mexican Airlines [auto]
Lowlife » Auto AK Diesel [seemingly new]
Lowlife » Auto AK47 #2 [seemingly new]
Sweet » Auto Dark Devil
Sweet » Jack 47 Automatic
World of Seeds » Wild Thailand Ryder [auto]

Those not making the first cut (attempt at germination), in reserve if needed, are:

Flash » Kush van Stitch Automatic
Flash » Onyx Auto
Delicious » Northern Light Blue Automatic

What are optimal temperatures for early seed incubation? I have the seeds at about 84F/29C, with saturated humidity.

The seeds were planted 25 hours ago, in Root Riot starter plugs, with a little water added, put into a plastic food container just the right size, with aluminum foil on top and covering sides, with this on top of a variable power supply running with a top surface temperature of about 94F/34.4C (using infrared thermometer). Internal air and plug top surface temperatures are consistent around 84F/29C (depending on the room temperature). Any recommended temperature adjustments?

Final update (before starting a real grow journal thread):

100% SPOUTED! 8 out of 8. 7 have leaves now. They are all now under a CFL light, with the container holding them (still in Root Riot plugs) now open/uncovered (as in nature).

So for anyone considering buying seeds from the Single Seed Centre, they came through for me - good prices,
ordered online, arrived in the US in just 6 days, 100% now seedlings.
