Hey dude, your plants always look soooooo healthy and happy . I've been wanting to ask YOU this: What kind of a soil mix or setup are you using? Do you mix your own super soil? Do you amend what's already in the ground? Use old soil? You are all organic or no?

Alright folks, it's time to start opening ceremonies on this years auto/photo grow competition!

This is year 4 of the Comp, and it's been a fun road (mostly!) to travel with growers doing their outdoor thing! Thrills, chill, and spills happen in a way that only OD growers know... It's a more relaxed contest, and is always filled with lovely plants and buds! The Comp' is open to anybody, with any genetics they wish, any grow method... Breeder and product showcasing is welcome too!

GENERAL RULES:

- 30th Oct Final finish date

-- Any cross Auto or Photo.... Any start date, just be aware of the finish date!

-- Battle Code must be included with the germ photo and harvest photo ----> [ 2020 OD auto/photo Comp; (name); (strain); start date/harvest date ]

-- No plant in this Battle is eligible for any other Battle.

-- Only participants wishing to be included in the Final Poll need to provide preferred weekly Updates....(3/month minimum)
*(Guerilla Growers can apply to the Team Leaders for a Guerilla pass which will enable you to post updates every 2-3 weeks and still be in the Final Poll.)

-- You can select up to 3 Battle plants for the duration of the battle...in case they get eaten, ripped, destroyed, etc.,...

-- You must name your Final entry plant 2 weeks before harvest or the final Poll date.

-- Voting will consist of live bud/cola shots and dry nugg' shots (1 each) for both auto and photo' plants submitted for polling... So 4 polls total, live and dry auto, live and dry photo....
-- winners determined same way as last year: the combined votes for the auto's and photo's live and dry will be tallied to determine auto winner and photo' winner....

-- prizes TBD

-- It is acceptable for outdoor plants to be started indoor...as long as the vast majority of the plant life is outdoor.

Alrighty then, gulp, I'll try this. I barely know my way around this forum but I see all my favorite bros in here who've helped me out. So, I'm bound to learn lots from you all.
I've got Critical Purple, Big Bud, Nine Pound Hammer, all autos, and a photo Big Bud. Never grown autos before and I've only started two, both in pots with OForest AND added amendments....big mistake. So one's dead....never get to grow up or be cool but the other is hanging in there....my first auto, Hindu Kush. So for the compitition I'm growing out the Critical Purple auto and the Big Bud Auto or the Big bud photo, whichever rocks the solo cup the best.
So what is a battle code?

Will be transplanting and hardening in the rain this week, then it's twenty and sunny on the forecast

I'm not gonna lie, I'm excited about the mystery sativa x LR2. MS was a bag seed I popped in 2010 that I had rolling around in a stash box for a long time. It reeked of cat piss and vinegar, just a real stinker! I hit it with some pollen from a LR2 male and bagged up the seeds. I'm hoping the LR2 will cut the flowering time of the sativa down while leaving it piss and vinegar stinky. All in all a fully fumbled pollen chuck.

MOB is MOB, don't really have to say more than that.

B4 is incredible but an 11 week flower, so I may have to do it indoors or light dep.

Cherry OG might be my new med strain if it lives up to rep. Supposed to reek of cherry and have an OG effect. I want a nice male F99 auto to hit one up with... or maybe a male COG to hit the F99 with.

Here I go again with too many pokers in the fire. Luckily I have a HLG 135 w quantum on the way to help out.

Any starts I don't keep are going to help friends and family grow their own stash during these hard times.

yo that's a phat line-up Bear! ...you had me at Cat Piss ... this sick f*ck actually likes that canna-aroma! It's been ages, but that last batch was damn nice smoke, room smell was exotic smelling, potency gob slapping... This one had a nice rich floral aroma when broken up, it was the jar stank that was nose hair curling! "
Fingers crossed that pheno' shows man, she'll go auto fast too generation-wise from what I hear... LR "auto genes" are obnoxious and unstopable, even selecting non-auto phenos' down the F gen's will still end up autoing according the Mr. personality cres ( )
