Hey guys, haven't been on here in 40 days.. u must be wondering im close to harvest but im actually veryyyyy farrrrrr from it. I couldnt understand why my plants wouldn't grow. as a noob i had no clue what direction to go in. I burned my few weeks non-growing babies by first bringing led too close and then by nuting them thinking they just need a booster. both things backfired. and now i had 'burned' plants that wouldn't grow. lol. but i didnt give up on them or on growing. continued to investigate and contacted led-manufacturer in china and inquired about led distance. turns out i need to be AT LEAST 2.5 TO 3FT away from canopy. OK. so did that but still growth was close to nothing although plants started to recover but not much new growth and the new growth that was there was WAY TOO SLOW.
On my quest to saving my ladies, I ordered a 8bulb T5 which came on January 4th. As soon as I installed that light all the leaves perked up like T5 had strings on leaves. Exponential growth has followed since. In one week of T5 the plants have come back to life. although still small as they have only been really growing for a week, these ladies have over 200 new leaves growing. I also added an onyx, mi5 and feelgood to the garden and all have started to pick up.
1st pic is northern light auto from rqs. she's 52 days old although only grew to this size in last 7 days from 3 burned nodes.

3rd and 4th pic is onyx or mi5 (forgot to label seeds and don;t know which is which.
yes i burned pic 4 with T5 and that's when realized T5 needs SOME ventilation. but now its recovering fine.
As far as LEDs go, I had 3 300W LEDs. I have sold two of them on eBay and recovered some damage. I still have the third which I am reluctant to sell. Maybe they will be good for flowering and were totally not meant for vegging. I am also going to order another 8bulb - T5 with all 3000K bulbs but will mix the bulbs in both fixtures to get 6500K/3000K even mix. I can't believe I now understand all the lights and lingos in few short months. Probably no one is following this thread anymore but I know someone might search for something on google and my thread comes on. Hopefully it will be of some help. Else, it will be just my first journal and hopefully I'll pull off some buds for my back pain.
