Photography WoS northern lights x big bud

Couldn't help it! Had to take more pics, she's too pretty to ignore! I'm thinking she's probably got another 4-6 weeks. Any thoughts?

Hey bamabuds, I roeckon you have about 4-5 weeks to go. Mine seemed to bud then stop and fill out, then bud again before reswelling. Just a guide but you can always re evaluate along the way :). They are looking good, budding on strongly and not that long to go till happy days :)

Thanks for checking her out y'all! With the exception of my first harvest, this is the most excited about a plant that I've been. She's just doing so well and her hairs are 3x longer than any other I've grown. She's drinking a lot now too. That's a 2 gallon bucket and I feed about a gallon each time and I could really feed her every other day without overdoing it. By the time 2 days pass from feeding, it's bone dry.

Hey bamabuds, I have found the ones that drink a lot around the stage you are at bud on heavily :). Also I dont think you need to worry about overwatering to much anymore. Give her whatever she will use, I always find they will all need more water now. Still let the soil dry out, but you dont need to go as far anymore with the dry. Just my 2 cents. Have a good one :)

Thanks KK. I was just looking her over a few minutes ago and looks like I'm developing a bit of cal/mag def. Gonna flush her out with just water, then wait a day or two and add pick up some calmag this week if needed. I'll probably pick some up regardless, I've had a couple plants that got really bad in the end and I should really keep it on hand

Hey bama, Cal mag is a common def. I use it every time I water my plants, even if they are just getting water. I do use LED lights however, and this makes it worse. Because I know this def will occur at some stage I add a bit every water or so. This means I find I will not have to chase that def. I am always a step ahead of it and my plants wont suffer from that def. Obviously dont start adding it till you start to feed them other nutes. Just add it in with them. Works for me anyway :)

You could also mix up a low dose and foliar spray them. They'd take up the nutes faster that way. No sense in waiting for a def to get cl mag. 2 cents.

This late in, with well established bud sites, would I be at a higher risk of bud rot if I foliar fed em?

I would not foliar with cal/mag. The plants at this age have buds packed together. Just a bit of water in those seams will not be too good. If it was earlier--probably--aok.

If you are using coco--mag def. is to be expected. Seems to get better--on my end--once in late flowering. Mine that is now going towards 90+ days was like yours (not as pretty--as yours) had the longest stigmas--have ever seen. In fact, it concerned me and thought oh no a weird lady. Still the stigmas are not yet fully dry and coloring out. Hard buds and a few airy ones near fan. The other noticeable difference is that the trichs are not real prominient on the bigger bud leaves like other strains (e.g.--white Widow etc.).

Looking forward to your harvest.

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback! I'm in soil. Haven't tried coco yet, but thinking about giving it a try

Yeah sorry, I wasn't thinkin about them being in bud. All the same definitely get on a mag def before it gets worse.
