New Grower Actual Results from F1 Auto/photo crosses

Maybe you can notice the bent stem, it went too tall since I was keeping autos in there with it during veg so I bent it to keep an even canopy.

Here is the Result on the first roll out of GiggleJuice F1 Photo/Auto.

Approx 30 seeds germed in a 25 ltr pot..and thinned..

3 Definite Autos
2 Suspected Autos..(could be semi..so I'll leave them as suspect..)

Obviously..no Autos thinned..only the photos..

3 Affy doms..
4 DC doms..
1 Suspected Haze..from the NL side...:dance2:

3 Heavy Black leafed..
1 Partial Black leaf...

Gotta a matched Black Leafed Auto DC dom pair..:booya:...some people call me Lucky Wiz...

Bearing in mind these are outdoor winter grown with temps below 0 degrees Celcius..and there are 8 or 9 in a 25 ltr pot..
they are going to be Big in Normal conditions.

I love the super dark purple on the male in front there. Is that color trait caused by the lower winter temps or genetic?

OK so here's what I got so far. First time at trying my hand at breeding. I chose a Landrace Afghan Kush Photo Mother and a Auto Assassin Father. I planted 6 on 4-8-12. 1st Auto Fem showed at Day 25. 2nd, 3rd, & 4th showed on day 29. 4 out of 6 so far. The other 2 I'm waiting another week then they are going to 12/12. I have 3 more groups coming up behind them. I'll post results of those as well. IMHO, I believe the short flowering time of the Afghan Mom helps this work Auto faster. Also the AA has Affy in it as well, (as far as I know). Like Wiz mentioned... Affy x Affy keeping the genetics similar may help. Or it may be the combo of that and short flowering time. 45-55 days flowering for any Photo is FAST. Here's the girls...

IME... you will see sex in almost 100% of any auto x non auto in the F1 by 30 days....just like in any early strains like I sell.

A different way to look at it is whats going on at 45 days....@18hrs or more...

I know this is an old thread, but I've just been talking about this kind of thing and finding more questions than answers as I simply don't have the experience. Would you elaborate on that comment please, Cres?

Do you mean that all plants will show sex at 30 days, but after 45, under more than 18 hours light, some may still not progress to full flowering? Or have I got you wrong?

I would never attempt to speak for Cres... But I think what he means is when you cross an AUTO with a PHOTO results being an F1... When you grow out those F1s is where you will see sex in almost 100% of any auto x non auto in the F1 by 30 days. Without having to flip to 12/12... But Cres will correct me if I'm wrong...

IME with the Buckeye Smash 99% of the F1s I grew out showed sex under continuous light of 20 hrs on 4 hrs off under 30 days. BUT to get them to bud up I had to flip them to 12/12... So is this what an "early showing photo" is?? I am also still learning and have tons of homework and questions to ask so please don't take my words as an accurate statement until Cres, Mossy or another Breeder can answer for sure...

I'm trying to develop an auto Yumboldt right now.

That sounds yummy!! I'd buy it!!
