Sorry that you misunderstood me when I first mentioned it and that my input was to start a dialog that usually draws out useful info.. The flush is just the first sensible step when there is a possible toxic situation.
Trust the infirmary.
Do what they suggest. All else, as reliable as it may be or not, is just conversation to kill time while the infirmary gurus get to the heart of the problem.
