Breeding projects: First up, Azure Duck!

And the results of my work!

I let them dry after stripping them from the buds in a dark place in an open container ( this time of year when the humidity is low ) or in a closed container with a couple desiccant packs for at least a month but longer gives better germ rates, 2 months is best. I then store then in 2ml tubes. I keep the tubes in a ziplock with desicant packs. I store in a cool place. I've just started testing the practice of freezing them for a day or two before thawing and planting. I'm skeptical. I keep some to use stored the same way in a wooden cigar box stored at room temperature. I have planted seeds that have been stored that way for three years with no problems.

Excellent! How do you prep them for planting or storage?

ive been trying to get my hands on some ducksfoot for a long time, but alot of seedbanks dont ship where I need them to, and it often slips my mind when placing seed orders. Dutch passion I think just released an automatic ducksfoot white widow cross, so now im holding out till I can get those.
