blacktrap is the waste material(by-product) from the final boil of the sugar making process when you use cane to make sugar. sugar beet molasses is molasses that is made from sugar beets instead of Kane sugar. i dont think they ever make pure sugar from sugar beets. its is usually just to sweeten amnimal feed.....sorry did i get lost ... ok back to the molasses, so there is a great deal of difference being that they are made from completely different plants. but i am taking this from my head at i am sure if you pick apart what i said you can resource some info to make me look like a lair, so i will leave you with the final thought of.............i think.
