Haha good stuff...have to love how there is so many different effective ways to achieve the same goal when growing canna.

I know right! I lost two Sourhounds because the taproot was only a few millimeters outta the shell and I put them into soil, sure they are working great. Then 4 days nothing. Check the soil and absolutely nothing happening with them. So I let it grow a bit bigger these other times, faster to breach the soil. No ill-effects either.
