Hey Pal... The hydro shop bloke told me perlite was the easiest way to grow so I was keen to try it. I really like it because it avoids a lot of issues that people seem to have with soil.
The pots used for this grow are too small which will affect the yield for sure. They are only 4ltr so next time I'll use at least 8ltr to see how much bigger they can get.

I have done some hydro stuff in just perlite before and it works fine 
I grew a 1.6 oz plant in a beer can with just perlite so its not really the size of the pot but how the plant is fed when it comes to hydro stuff in my opinion. Who is the breeder of the lemon haze Max? The name does sound nice.

A few of the bottom fan leaves have turned yellow and fallen off but overall they are going pretty good and the buds are starting to fill in. The lemon smell is awesome and all of the buds are getting a nice looking frost going.

Day 50 and they are on the final stage nutrients and getting some fermented honey and molasses stuff I got at the hydro shop.
The lights are now 2 x 130w 2700k cfls and they are going way better than I thought they would. I've only got a cheap exhaust fan which draws air through an odor sok and out the top of the wardrobe. This works ok for my 400w hps so it's been really easy to avoid heat issues with the cfls.
