Live Stoner Chat First timer, canna nutrient advice needed pretty please :)

(I tried posting this in the everything auto flower section but wouldn't have it so here I am. Apologies if it's in the wrong area)



Hi there My first time on a forum and soon t be a first time grower.

Im after advice on what nutrients t use f my very first auto flowers. I've got pretty much all my equipment bar seeds and nutrients.
I have canna terra pro soil but I'm planning on doing the pot within a pot method using westlands/john innes young seedling organic compost t avoid transplant issues.

I'm keen to keep nutrients within the canna range to avoid complication but don't know what to get.

From what I've read it seems less is more with autos. The soil already has nutes so do I use the vega or just wait until they're flowering and use Flores?

Also, should I use the extras like cannazyme, boost, flush and PK?

Want to do what I can t ensure a good first crop but don't want to waste money or overload my wee ones with to much stuff.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
I've tried t google it but I'm not having much luck.

Personally, I'm a big fan of wgs Easy Dirt guide, especially for first time growers. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/new-growers-guide-grow-@-lowes-[easy-dirt-guide-]-16495.html It's *ahem* easy, inexpensive, and a great way to get that first one under your belt in style.

Again, welcome to the Family, and happy growing! (BTW, true. Autos can be a bit sensitive. Most nutes, you'll wan't to start at 1/4 to 1/2 strength, and work your way up).

Hi Chandyside - Welcome to AFN!

Seems like you've already done a good bit of reading if you're trying the tier pot transplant method
As far as your canna nutes go, (and bare in mind, I am a canna coco A&B user .. not soil), To make it easy there are a few things i wouldnt bother with.

Cannazyme .. not really 100% necessary - I'd get Rhizotonic instead (great root stimulator for good early growth and healthy root system)
Dont bother with the PK13/14 - you'll have a mysterious window of about a week to use it effectively. Better off with just the boost.

With the right advice and care, there's no reason why you can't pull a good crop first time around!

Renaissance redneck; Thanks f the links... Although the soil one takes me t the recipe for oils, lol.
In regards t starting a journal, do i start a thread with subject Chandysides journal and ask all questions I have throughout the grow there or post new questions seperately?
I've never been on a forum before and I'm not to sure on how it works.... It took me about 2 hours before I worked out how t make a post, lol

Blue; I have indeed been doing a lot if reading. My ex was a grower for years so I've learnt a lot from him. He was hydro though.
Growing is something I've wanted t do f years but never had the opportunity. The excitement f me is on par with waitin the arrival of my kid.... Don't tell the boy that tho lol.
Rhizoctonic and boost it is Thanks very much the advice.

Only thing I need t know (f the now) me thinks is as what point do I start using vega on them.

When I found out how to journal though I shall ask there

Welcome CS :styles rasta: sorry i cant answer your question with no knowledge on soil grows..lol..but i do use canna, in coco, like blue..only thing is that i did it alittle diferent...no boost, but pk instead...+ A-B im sure both will work fine (i used my pk for far longer then only 1 week ) ^^

maybe get some Cal/mag just in case... "My 2 cents" seems to be the most common def..

It looks like your in good hands. Welcome to AFN. If you need something more please ask. Hopefully you will be on your way.

Start nutes at week four, 1/4 strength to start, boosting it up to 1/2 strength when in full flower.

My opinion, other's have thiers as well, they all are good for our situation, you will find your sweet spot.

I use Canna products. I started to use Canna A and B every feeding after 3-4 weeks(im in coco/rice mixture). Also Rhizotonics for root growth for a cpl weeks. Im triing pk 13-14 right now, since im in the middle stages of flower, ill use it for two weeks when feeding with Canna A and B. Not sure how it will work, but I bought it so im gonna try it.

Isnt A+B for hydro? Shall be using tap water f my girls so hopefully wont have any cal/mag issues :fingers crossed:
