Hello All ! So I finally registered on here.. Was over not seeing photos mostly lol but I am awaiting for my auto cream caramel seeds to arrive then the journey begins. I am TOTALLY NEW TO THIS but its deffff in me to do this and I have never been more ready. As far as set up I am kinda going back and forth on some things. At the moment Im leaning more towards soil/grow tent. Space is limited for me, however the grow box options I see available have me even more worried about the space in side them unless I am trying to drop close to a grand which im soo on a budget. I want to get obviously the most yield possible from these girls and still try to use as little space as possible, keep down on smell, etc. Well I could go on forever but if anyone has any advice/tips/info that would be greatly appreciated..I also intend to doc. this whole process so I can let everyone know how this works out...VERY EXCITED!! hoping to purchase all materials next week when I finalize my decisions on how to go about this then its just waiting on my babies to arrive!! :-)

Welcome! This site definitely sparks your enthusiasm! Sounds like your on the right track. Just pick a grow style and run with it , thats how we learn. While your waiting for your seeds and equipment, read up all you can here, there's tons of information, and lots of people to answer questions! :Sharing One:

Hi Lady,

If you have never grown before. I would say try soil. It is a good starting point. There are many options on soils, but what I would suggest finding one experienced grower, and go with thier way of building that soil. Try not to do three or four recipes into one type of thing. Let it be known in yer thread here who's soil recipe you are using (if you choose to do so), so that they may jump in and add some advice.

Just sayin'

Glad to have ya here, and hope to see more

Peace

Eek

Welcome to AFNlogo Lady! :Sharing One:

Keeping a journal will help to remember stuff that's easy to forget. :bong:

Yeah! That sounds like a great idea. I am just getting all the info I can get now. Just got back from my local grow shop and shes got literally everything I am going to need so I am pretty sure I am going to her as opposed to ordering offline.. If anyone has got recommendations on soil recipes, I am all ears.. I am also needing any info on germination process. It seems like it is best to do as little replanting as possible so if anyone's got advice on that , Id love feedback as well! Thanks

Journal check! I plan on documenting as much as possible and hopefully that will keep me more organized and help with any problems. Ill definitely be posting lots of pics to for everyone here to see the process. :-)

Hey heady good luck with getting everything setup! If you're pumped now, wait until you have a bunch of new gear sitting in front of you and it's time to start getting everything together and in place! It gets pretty exciting watching a seed turn into a full grown flowering plant over a few months too! Very excited for you; will sub up on your grow!

As for the soil recipes; have you taken a look at this guide written by wg, one of AFN's moderators?

Thread: New Grower's Guide: Grow @ Lowe's [Easy Dirt Guide!]

Or you can hit up the Organics forum for all sorts of recipes!

Lot of good reading there! :karma Cloud:

Good for you girl, get growing!

I look forward to your journals. For a first grow I would say keep it simple and learn as you grow. Soil and LED's as a first grow would be for me but each to their own. Don't overwater and do sing to them.

Good luck n growing girl, eP.

You can totally grow on a budget!
Biggest thing is a light.
next is a PH meter.
if you dont have those wait till you can afford them.
as you become more experienced and as $ roll in you can upgrade.
Lots of very good advice on this site. you will find that people here like to answer the STUPID questions and wont make you feel like a dumb ass.
I ask them all the time!
