Live Stoner Chat Life is good

The Octoberfest is from a local small brewery called Summit.I love all the beer they make but it cost around thirteen bucks for a twelve pack bottles.

I retired at 55 and sometimes joke that if I knew it was going to be this much work I might not have done it LMAO retirement should be something to look forward too. if you have a life outside of work and have saved and planned for it. 3 years into it it is still the best time of my life. I finally have the time and freedom to do all the thing I have always wanted to

I' can't wait to retire , I am 54 and worked hard all my life and have so much I want to do , each day will start down at the wharf sitting under the mango tree with all the other old codgers staring at the boats and watching everyone else go to work , then a bit of fishing up the river and home to the garden . Bring it on ---- but got ta get rid of the kids first just can't get them to leave home , got something to do with there mum , looks after them to well . :cuss:

I think it can be for people who live through their jobs and don't have other interests. I looked forward to retirement and retired as soon as I could at 62. Between maintaining my 17 acres, 8 dogs, chickens, guinea fowl, and my grows, I've got plenty to keep me busy. I always wanted German Shepards but knew I wouldn't have time to train them when I was working. Now I have the time. I don't wake up to an alarm anymore and if I feel like sitting on my ass all day, so what. Nothing is that pressing that it can't wait until tomorrow. So for me, it's a joy and in a lot of ways has become the most fulfilling time in my life.

I don't think I live through work, but when I first moved here 5 years ago, I got more and more uneasy after the first year of not working- it was bizarre cos my husband did not care whether I worked or not and my savings were not inconsiderable. Gardening and cooking just did not seem to be real work, cos those are the things I've always done to destress.

when I finally decided to start a little enterprise to keep myself busy, the supreme leader was so relieved to get 'the real me' back he bought me a rather ridiculous piece of jewellry. At the time my mother commented that I was probably going to be one of those crazy people that drive everyone bonkers when they retire. So now I ask every retiree what it feels like

That price wouldn't bother me. A 12 pack is a 2 year + supply. The only Octobefest I can find around here is Sam Adams and some times Shiner. Try some Spaten if you can find it. Brewed in German since something like 1560 or 1640.

Good for you. I would have retired earlier if I could have afforded to. At least the last 9 years my work was seasonal, so I was off from the mid December to the beginning of March.

Spaten is good,I tried it in Philly. My buddy brews ciders n beers n stuff.A small micro brew place called the Rams Head makes the best oktoberfest brew Ive ever had.its not as heavy as a stout though but damn good LOL!

ya ever tried a triple bach brewed beer?it was more a sipping brady really.I let it sit sealed in a 24K gold lettering blue bottle for 10 years LMFAO!!before i decided to open it.kept in complete darkness too.its was good too.

A twelve pk is a two year supply, back in my drinken days I would polish a 12er every night. Now I'll just have one or two and hit my pipe and not to long after that I hit the sheets. I did have some Sam Adams octoberfest last week and I thought it was dam good.

I remeber when many of the octoberfests and stouts were not even out by sam adams LOL! thats wild.now they be everywhere.decent beer though.Ive always been a mellow drinker myself.a glass of wine some acid n a joint er two.OR after doiong a beer boogey n lighting a campfire n passing out.well they did I just left after a bit.LOL!I was never a drinker.except on acid.DUUDE!! I could tell you stories man lemme tell ya lol.

up in around phiily they have these beer stores.real warehouses packed with 100's of types of beer man.and micro cider brews n the whole nine.man if i was a drinker like my buddy ...NO WONDER he never left philly lMFAO!

MMMMmmmm, Retirement, I dream of retirement! I would have retired a few years ago but lost everything I had and quite I bit I didn't have when Enron tanked a while back, whole savings and retirement plus a few other things I was counting on after a nasty divorce wiped me clean. I will have to work until I am 70 (10 more years) to be able to collect, but when I do it will be with full insurance and 80% of my salary and I can collect my SSI too. So by that time the house will be paid for and hopefully all the returned to the nesters will have flown the nest for good! I work for an elected person so hopefully he will be re-elected a few more times!

the market can be a harsh and expensive teacher. I paid a great deal for my education over the past 35 years.but was fortunate enough to avoid an expensive divorce.but as long as we learn from our mistakes we will continue to grow and evolve.i'm an average photo grower but am on this site to learn ways to become above average. autos are a good way to fill in spaces and gaps in my flower and grow room and give me a harvest between my photo harvest but I still have a lot to learn.
