Skeeters are a minor inconvenience, what bothers me more is the threat of deer ticks with the plum island created Lyme disease!
Yes! I walk in the woods a lot and definitely been lucky this year so far, haven't had a ton. Theres been a group of volunteers cleaning up the rubbish managing the forest floor and drainage since the pandemic and its seemed to make a huge difference. But i still say mosquitoes are the worst. When you get a few in the house i legitimately think about just torching the place.Skeeters are a minor inconvenience, what bothers me more is the threat of deer ticks with the plum island created Lyme disease!
Honestly I was going to invite him to the forum for a Grow-and-Show; but I'll have to check with @Mossy to see where we are at capacity wise for cultivators available.
FullDuplex also offered up a stack of new testers as well (don't hurt me Mossy.) lol
And then Brother Mendel just send me a box of their new release as well for raffles (hasn't shown up in the mail yet.)
I agree with @Talonxracer , being a surveyor in NNY you have spring - fall chances to pick one up. Last year I had at least 7 latch on… but removed within hours. I’ve learned to check every day when temps start heading lower. Summer is normally too hot for them. They like the 50-65 degree range and you’ll see some up to mid 70s. This year I’ve had 3 so far. And we are heading into active time again. Skeeters, pshaw! No problem. After the first 10-20 that draw blood I get immune to them. Unless they’re near my ears! Then I’m like a kung-fu drunken master!Skeeters are a minor inconvenience, what bothers me more is the threat of deer ticks with the plum island created Lyme disease!
