i just started testing growing with my tap water with my hydro and promix grows and they don't care that its 270ppm they don't like the 8.0 ph but if i ph it down they don't care about chlorine and such :smoking:

Im in living soil. Chlorine can kill the microbes in the soil. I have grown hydro dwc tho years ago.

I found my answer. Vitamin c will dechlorinate and lower ph

You are talking about two different chemicals. Chlorine by itself will dissipate in short order when exposed to air. No treatment is necessary. Chloramines are formed when Chlorine and Ammonia are used together to sanitize drinking water. Ascorbic acid will neutralize chloramines.
