Grow Room Micro Grow à la Spaghetti Sauce

So day 7 was yesterday. The girls's coco was almost bone dry. Up until this point I was feeding very light with a dropper. Used almost a gallon of water for the two plants with 50ppms of cal mag. Also I switched the lighting schedule to 20-4 from 24-0.

Hey SpagSauce, do you need the tray? Seems that will restrict air flow. Not trying to be negative, just curious if it would be more hinder than help, once roots fill the pots.

Well I need something to catch water. Was considering taking the saw out and taking a few inches off tomorrow.

@Yeaster The Picatta came out on point. Added a little mushroom and garlic to kick it up a notch. Its the easiest thing to make, and it always gets me out of the doghouse with my wife.

The problem, if you keep it as is, is that you will basically cancel the root pruning action of the fabric pot as the fabric will not breathe properly. Plus, you will keep extra moisture in a stagnant state which may create an anaerobic medium perfect for pathogens. Letting your plants sit in their runoff for a few minutes is ok in coco as long as your plants have totally colonized their medium but you should always throw away the runoff and let the coco breathe to keep beneficials micro organisms and roots healthy.

Agreed. I bought some hydroguard aka aquasheild. Its supposed to supply the plant with benicicial bacteria that denotes bad bacteria. Anyone have any feedback on this?
