Subbed. Good luck on the grow! :bong:

Think I need some of that Kentucky blue grass karma?

Other than that.

Hi all, I suppose this is a bump/bummer on this thread? Whats has been happening over the last 6 weeks? Well, I'm not exactly sure but, all I can report is that out of 23 seeds sown over the last 48 days, I have only 3 that have got past seedling stage!

(All seeds were germinated in my usual fashion, soaked till they sank, placed in between moist papers towels in a sealed container at 22C. All seeds germinated as expected.)

I wanted to grow outdoors again (I had planned on utliising my greenhouse this year in the good UK weather, lol/swear/curse! but, I haven't seen so much variation in humidity in a few hours on a daily basis in this country for years!) Not that I got that far, hopefully, other outdoor growers in the UK will be checking closely for moulds and the like?

Damping Off has, I believe been my main problem. Of course, when I switched back into the grow tent (thinking that would solve the problems, controlled conditions and all that tech) with the excessive temps in the middle of last month, even then with humidity brought back under control, temps were more than my 4" RUK Fan could control comfortably, 30-32c! Now, as the temps recede back to normal British values for summer, we can move forward?

List of casualties:

1/7/13:

2 Kush van Stitch (from 3 sown)
3 Royal Bluematics
3 AKR

(9 seeds sown, 1 KVS still alive)

After 10 days I realised something was up and replaced KVS and Royal Blues with fresh seeds. (Herbies)

19/7/13:

1 Kush van Stitch (from 3 sown)
3 Royal Bluematics
3 AKR

(9 seeds sown, 2 KVS still alive)

7/8/13:

3 OO Seeds Auto Bubble gum
2 AKR (my last!)

(All deceased, maybe dying or like dead........ man! See photo.)

So, after 6 and a bit weeks, of toil and trouble, I have one 48 day old KVS and 2 KVS which are 28 days old! All incredibly small for their age (probably doesn't help that they are in small airpots? but, with the rate of damping off I had been having I certainly have saved some dosh by not planting them into the 10 litre airpots straight way as I did last time!), even though they have all shown the right bits (female of course, not into boys!) it will be a mediocre harvest at best. Shite, all the people I known growing photos (12/12) sensitives aren't having my problems. Maybe auto's are weak in humidity tolerance at germination?

Peace and love to you all (I'm struggling to find it, for my plants!)

Mike.

Hello again! After a bit of soul searching, I felt that I should document this grow (mishap?) through to the end. Admitting that you have fucked up/been beaten by nature, even if you were ill prepared for a warm British summer (more than likely the best in years!) and the humidity deviations, well I have learned a lot!

So where am I in this mishap and what have I done to try and rectify mistakes made?

We have 3 Kush van Stitch in 10 litre airpots, Plagron light medium and being fed on Bio Bizz Fish Mix (5ml per litre of pH 6.7 tap water.) I seem to have 2 different pheno's (see pic's) and I'm going to concentrate my attention on the taller of the 3, well all of them, a few grams is better than none! We shall see
what happens?

Hate to say it but, I'm going to start a non auto grow in the next few days! (I will start a log in the photo sensitive area of this forum, maybe Delicious?)

Peace and Love to you all.

Mike.

Hi All,

Firstly, can I ask a mod to move this thread to the Flash seeds sub forum please!

I am now a convert to the excellent work that 'Stitch' has provided through his research and proven genetic choices! After all the problems (maybe of my own doing?) I have endured during this grow, I have come to the conclusion that after I have grown out my remaining seeds from other companys, I will concentrate all my growing efforts into the Flash inventory!

Hang fire!?

Ok, this is only based on my experience with KVS but, with failing seeds all around, it was only the KVS which survived and am I so glad they did! My grow tent is an absolute joy to open, (plants ain't great to look at!) but the smell is emense! It's of course not only about the fragrance, medicinally, this strain is the bee's knees for pain relief.

For the last 17 years, after being diagnosed with Osteoarthritis of the spine I have struggled to balance prescribed NHS medications and the obvious side effects, with the good side of what we all love! Been smoking for a lot longer though for the high side....... anyway, for the last two nights I have had no nagging pain at all!! Imature (days?) buds pulled last week (so, uncured) are a joy to smoke!

Nuff Said.

Peace and love to you all. :peace:

Mike.

P.S Will post photo's soon?

Hi All,

Just a quick update on day 70 (I am concentrating all my efforts on this one girl!) As you can hopefully see, she is growing at the rate of an inch a day and filling in quite nicely! 26" or 65cm tall as of today! Seems to me that she is going to need another 40 to 50 days to finish?

Light is on 24/7 at the moment, feeding is Bio Bizz Fish Mix 4ml, Bio Bizz Bio Grow 4ml and I've just started Bio Bizz Bio Bloom at 1ml per litre of water. Temps are between 24 and 27c. I've got a little touch of nute burn but, hopefully a foliar spray of espom salts will cure that malady, if I hold a feed or two while that takes effect? Soil pH is a constant 6.4

Day70_1.jpgDay 70_2.jpgDay70_3.jpgDay70_4.jpg

I have a question, which is; should I switch lighting to 18/6 or even 12/12 now? As I understand from what I've read, the long pheno of KVS can be bought into final flowering by going 12/12. I only ask, as yet again the landlord is going to effect repairs to the house, starting (fortunately, outside the house!) but at some point inside and close to the grow room! Hopefully, the outside work will take a month or so, as our builder only works weekends here, which may give me time to see this grow through! That sounds a bit vague but, the girl has been recovering so well after the initial start, I'm reluctant to alter the lighting at the moment!

Any input is more than welcome, Stitch has provided some damn good genetics, I want to do them justice!

Peace and Love to you all.

Hi All,

Day 75 Update.

Well, she is certainly a light hog! Got the whole panel to herself, I hope she will be able to go 125 days plus, or cloudy trichs (with a touch of amber?). Alan Smithee's KVS (Sept BOM winner!) makes me think this girl could be a monster.

Peace and love :peace:

Mike.

I like your plants vertical structure. And it is producing lots of trichs. growdady--has two incredibly big KVS's. Take a look at his thread.
