Here's the latest pic. They've hit their stride since I started using the H2O2 and the enzyme additive SLF-100. I''m not sure what fixed the algae problem but I'm going to keep adding them until harvest. The H2O2 seems entirely benign. It breaks down into O2 and water. It's relatively inexpensive. I paid $12.50 for a Liter which is the cheapest Liter bottle to date.

Today the pH rose from 5.6 to 5.9 someone must be hungry. Fingers crossed I get it right.

Neko I hope the extra space I left between the sites in my res cuts it. The distance between the sites has doubled from my previous res. I found a 36"*36" tray and cover that will allow me to cover the entire foot print of the tent but I'd love to find out that I have the spacing right in this version. Thanks for checking on me. Res change. I drained and cleaned the res. Refilled it with fresh water and dosed it with H2O2. I let the roots sit in the res for a couple of hours before I added the nutes. pH 5.8, 800 ppm. I think I still have an algae problem. It doesn't seem to be effecting the plants too much.

looking good so far Jackmc. is any light making its way into the res? I don't know much about hydro so I'm really no help bet algae
needs light to grow just like any other plant. just a thought

Hi el sam, Thanks for visiting. Yes there is light getting into the res. I have a material that I want to attach to the underside of my res lid that will block the light and insulate it. I need to keep heat and light from coming in through the walls and lid of the reservoir. Cool nutrient solution helps prevent bacteria outbreaks and algae blooms. I built this system just before the this grow so I'm still tweaking it. Doing it the hard way since 1964.

Neko, I'm really enjoying watching the different types of plants develop at the same time. The strains are markedly different. They are all tolerating the level of feed I'm giving them.

I think the molasses I am adding to the res is promoting algae growth. I still am having issues with the roots.

The plants are progressing well but their root development is still stunted. I ordered a Skunk Works Tea Product that lykaboss recommended to see if I can resolve my brown slime issue. You can see from the pic that the plants are stretching but they are not developing like they normally do.

Thats what I love about a multi strain grow. You get to see all the differences in features/structure/leaf shapre/patern/etc. Its great. Looks like they are coming along nicely. Hope you get the alge problem fully resolved soon my friend.:tiphat:
