SD fems day 31.

I've had a bit of Dragon drama over the last week,they had to go 2 days without water last weekend and out of all my plants these 2 were really badly affected,not only were they dehydrated but they had dry and brittle leaves too...it took 48 hrs to rehydrate them as the medium wouldn't hold any water??? It was just draining straight through,I basically had to water every hour to get them happy again. Just to stress them a bit more I decided to defoliate the ugly dry leaves.

I've had that happen before TaNg if the soil dries out too much it compacts and water pours right down the sides. But sounds like with yours it drained right through the soil now around it? Strange. In any case if the soil is dehydrated I'd sit the pot of soil in a bucket of water or something and let it soak up some moisture again. Basically bottom feed her for a while. Loads of perlite helps to stop this happening as much. But with those Air Pots I find they really work best with a drip system. Watering them by hand can be a kinda P.I.T.A for this very reason plus on top of that it just runs out the holes in the sides Like a bunch of mini water falls.

SD fems day 35.

Two happy dragons now with a lovely deep green to there leaves. The bigger plant is just kicking out resin so nice and quickly into full bloom.
