Grow Mediums The Cave Toad Grow

Thnaks @dcat0921 I still have a ton to learn but wanted to try to get off on the right foot. The middle girl just keeps on going like gang busters so I moved lights tonight to concentrate them on the outer girls that are behind a bit. I will be switching them over at the end of the week I think, not a lot of choice since they are going to need a baby sitter for a good 8 days. I did add a live cam so I can at least check on them while I'm gone. Going to get the net put in this week to so I can try to keep them under control. Even with a 6' tent I think I might be in trouble before long. Good problem to have though.

Quick update, The girls are going crazy now! looks like I am certainly going to be struggling with height issues from here on out. I finally broke down and gently folded the top of [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] gently under the net because we have a ways to go and she is already within `18" of the air scrubber. They are drinking about 2 1/2 gal of water a day which I think for their size and age is great.

I'll try to do some light filtered pics later on a bit closer up to show more detail but so far I really could not be happier.

Sorry I have been away so long but sometimes work gets in the way. In total its been 11 day since my last update so for those of you keeping score its day 52 from seed. The girls have gone crazy since being changed over to bloom! The late comers have really taken off with the change in lighting pattern and the heights have evened out tremendously. Temps are running a nice 74 deg under lights and 71 deg in dark. While I was gone they got a bit starved on nutrients but were drinking up to a gallon of water per. Trying to stay right about 900-1000 ppm on the nutrients and they seem to be loving it. Bud development is really taking off.

Looking real nice. Suggestion, if you can, get your lights on temps up to between 80 - 82 without and keep lights off at 71. Under LEDs you can run temps as high as 82 which will promote good transpiration. A 10 degree difference between light on and off promotes respiration. If you're running co2 light on temps can go as high as 84.

Thanks Muddy, I have been trying to keep them cooler so letting the temp rise a bit will be easy  I had to struggle today to hold them down to 79 with the weather starting to warm up a bit. And no, no co2 as of yet. Trying to make sure I have a decent handle on the basics before I get any more creative than I have. I actually looked at it but to either build or buy the controller was just more than I wanted to bite off. Funny thing is I have the large industrial gas cylinders for it already.

Hey guys I decided to take @Sensi Jay advice and get some pics with the LED's off. Just to fill in I am at day 54 now, temps are running mid to upper 70's, water uptake is right about 1 gallon per day per girl and ppm's are sitting at 850 and dropping about 50-75 per day, height is right about 36" tall. All in all the girls are really happy at the moment. :frog:

Great growing CT, you're maxing out the light as the girls are sticking the edges of their leaves up, u literally could not give them anymore.

I predict big buds in your future. :clapper:

@Sensi Jay , Yes exactly right, as I see the girls reacting I move the lights. Pretty much daily at this point.
