New Grower Actual Results from F1 Auto/photo crosses

I would never attempt to speak for Cres... But I think what he means is when you cross an AUTO with a PHOTO results being an F1... When you grow out those F1s is where you will see sex in almost 100% of any auto x non auto in the F1 by 30 days. Without having to flip to 12/12... But Cres will correct me if I'm wrong...

IME with the Buckeye Smash 99% of the F1s I grew out showed sex under continuous light of 20 hrs on 4 hrs off under 30 days. BUT to get them to bud up I had to flip them to 12/12... So is this what an "early showing photo" is?? I am also still learning and have tons of homework and questions to ask so please don't take my words as an accurate statement until Cres, Mossy or another Breeder can answer for sure...

Cheers mate... that's egsakly what I was talkin about. Good to hear from someone who's done it.

I have a plush berry x SDH f1 that autoflowered under 24 hours light :D I will get some pics tomorrow :toke:

Sweet! Did two seperate runs of 6 - 10 each time and only 1 didn't show until put to 12/12... And ironically it was a male. All females popped pistils though...

Hey, now... this is interesting. Which one was the auto, Slightly, mate? I'm guessing SDH is Sour Diesel Haze and that was the auto, but I'm no too good with all the names. that are around nowadays. If so, maybe the following isn't relevant, butt I think I remember LBH saying he had auto 'somethings' x photo sour diesels, and some of them autoed at F1. He seemed to believe the diesel or sour diesel genes might have brought a suppressed autoflowering trait to the mix that was only expressed in the presence of a full auto.

yes the sdh is the auto here she is at 45 days or so she was topped very young i thought she was going to be a photo for sure

Lovely plant there, Slightly. I wonder then, if the fact it autoflowered is due to a trait carried by one of the parents or if this is just something that can occasionally happen with any F1 photo x auto cross?

If it's due to the genetics of the parents, I suppose the first assumption we'd make is that the plushberry photo has something squirreled away in its genes that caused the cross to auto - but what if it was actually something in the SDH? Something that somehow causes the auto trait, which we normally assume to be recessive, to have a more dominant influence?

Exciting stuff -the only conclusion I can draw from this for sure is that I didn't know as much about autos as I thought I did.

I've got 5 SDH seeds that I'm going to try outdoors this year and if they perform well I'm going to do some crosses with tough outdoor photo strains. Earlier I would have expected my F1 generation to all be photos, though I'd have been looking for the auto influence to maybe shave a couple of weeks of the finishing time, but now who knows? Might get a full auto in the mix.

I crossed a O.G. Ghost Yrain Haze to a white widow auto. F1 had no autos. F2's are producing 33% autos as of now. It was a small sample;34 plants with 12 autos. 200 are in the feild and I will have more accurate numbers in 2 weeks.

It has been rain and no sun here for 10 days. Will be going tomorrow to get pics and post results.
