Live Stoner Chat Any tips for new auto in coco grower?

Welcome chum, I am not yer man for coco, but good luck............eP.

Hey - Saw my name and thought i'd chime in .....

Looks like someone know's their coco! :D

3 Never let your plants sit in the run off! 3.5 always make sure you have run off!

Great Tip!

4 Use a scale and weigh your pots after watering to saturation. Never let pots go below 60% of saturated weight.

Dedicated! (and Great tip!!)

5 Cover the top of your coco with hydroton to limit evaporation.

Sneaky! & Great Tip!!

6 When you water do a little too wet the top then wait one minute. Next water fast so the water hydraulically draws air down behind it.

Another Great Tip!!

7 Always use some kind of fertilizer mixed into your feed/flush even if it is just Cal-mag. Otherwise you will ruin the stored cations

It's an important and Great Tip! :d5:

8 Always run an air stone in your water to maxout o2 saturation.

Bubbling Hot Tip!! :D

Nice one Tbag! Rocked it! :d5:

:pass:

well hello there and welcome to afn! ive got the same size tent and same 2 lights as you. quality lights for the price you pay. ive been well happy with mine so far. im grow hydro but tag me once you get your journal up and ill fire in for a wee nosie. did you do coco your last run too?

Thanks Need! Will definitely go check out those threads. I think maybe the paleness of the green crack may be due to the plain water. Growweedeasy's schedule states to give plain every other watering. I stopped that and been giving nutes the past 2 waterings so hopefully things will improve.

I'm from GWE but I don't follow their GH schedule (it's more of a rough easy to follow guide). I water DTW daily, no less than 50% nute strength once plant is a week or so old, working my way up to higher strengths until I see what my plant can take. Last grow I got to 80% strength before the first signs of nute burn then backed off to 75% strength for the rest of the grow. I always make sure there's 10-30% runoff each watering and try to get runoff pH to about 6.0.
