Sweet man, I'm really getting excited about DWC buckets. I looked on Amazon for some I may buy a four bucket system in the near future. You start the seeds out in the cubes and then when you see roots at the bottom they go into the net pot with hydroton around them?

I would love to do this as I currently do soil and have a hard time getting rid of the soil after the grow is finished. I can dispose of water once a week or so easily!

Don't I also need a PPM meter?

Yes you'll need a ppm meter. I germinate my seeds in paper towels. Once the root emerges I place the seed in a rapid rooter plug(I don't use rockwool). Bury the plug in the hydroton and topwater once a day until root reach the reservoir. That's it. Easy p easy. Check the link in my signature for my journal and photos.
