Photoperiod Barneys Farm - Peyote Crit/Watermelon Zkittles/Mimosa X Orange Punch

I may have added unneeded stress to the girls last night but I got in there and clipped a lot a fan leaves and spread some branches, clipped off some stuff I dont want energy going to. It was probably a mistake since I just fed yesterday and stuff is still out of whack but whatever. Im just gonna get to the finish line now. Not that Im giving up. Im just starting to get tired of chasing the same deficiencies/lock outs/whatever goes on around this time every single grow. Oh well maybe I need to simplify everything. Heres some pics. No particular order just what everything looks like....dreadful imo....buds never been too bad so it is what it is.

The only thing Im liking so far is the watermelon besides it's nutrient problems has filled out quite nice. Its what I wanted all 3 to do but the other 2 aren't pumping the side branches like that one. I know they don't look horrible on camera I would just like to get the hang of feeding a dang plant!!!! Also the canopy is about as even as I could ever ask for. I'll be dropping the net pretty soon, so far everything has been staying pretty even in spacing and height so I don't really feel the need yet.

So I woke up knowing I was going to have to water and top my surprise, it looks like Im figuring out this feeding thing. Took a couple weeks but the watermelon is back on track, the mimosa still struggling but doing better than when the problem started

REMEMBER TO OFFSET CALCIUM thats all I need to remember. Add magnesium once every other week from the jump.

there she is, yellowing is pretty much just reserved for leaves being generated but are turning green right awau, not after the leaf is fully formed. That's what I wanted to see. I think letting the soil dry back fully helped this a lot. My pots are light as air this morning, probably could have watered yesterday

Today's mix
Kmky @2tsp/gallon
Sledgehammer (for yucca) at 2tsp/gallon

Flower (end of week 2) New
Dropped the net today. Gotta water again, 2 days in a row. I think that's partially due to me running the dehumidifier at 45% to keep the tent within the 50% rh range. I did follow some advice and I didn't water to runoff, technically, it did drip a little bit out each but the saucers are already dried up. Which normally takes a couple days with my old watering routine.

Anyway here's a pic, I almost wondering if I should have forgone the net. I think I spread my plants a little too much with lst wire for the net to be very effective at opening the plants up more. Got each main branch into its own little square. Some had to be pulled to the outside of the net because it bows in so much around the edges but its down and doing it's job. Its mainly for secondary branches anyway.

Is that an elastic net? They arent great for scrog per se but it should work great for your intentions, they just have too much give to hold a plant down by itself. Anyway, plants look great! Nice and spread out and taking full advantage of the grow space! Love it!

Yeah it is, from ac infinity, they revamped their nets so I wanted to try the newer style but it's actually even looser than the old nets with the 3in squares. I think after this grow Im just gonna stick with lst wire.

I use this metal mesh with 2inch squares. It holds the plants down much better and comes in 2foot, 3foot, and 4foot rolls in lengths of 25feet. It is reusable and gives me alot more options for placement! Especially with clips! https://www.amazon.com/GILPWA-Fence...ded+metal+pet+fence,aps,205&sr=8-5&th=1&psc=1

just read through the whole thing. You did a great job fixing the problems, and not falling to microcontrolling.
Perhaps make yourself a stock solution of the epsom salt - perhaps a multiple of your ca in tapwater so you always have a ratio solution:tap to add. Just add the right amount to match the ca of your water source and then apply your other nutes. You have it in your routine then and won't forget about it.
messing around with the salt made me mad for just a little needed and i am used to fluids.

Thank you I really appreciate that. Im try very hard to learn from my mistakes. Learning to grow can be a pain especially when the smallest change can snowball over time, but Im learning visual cues. I gotta say most of my thought process on this grow came from watching Mr. Grow it and the perfect gardens podcast. The guy from perfect garden explained the relationship between nutrients in a very easy way to understand, and how important micronutes are to the whole balance. I think sulpher was locked out too but good thing epsom salts have both.

I did mix a gallon of my spring water with 1.5 tsp of epsom salts for a foliar spray. I ph it when I add it to the spray bottle. Its gonna be a little trial and error to figure out how much and how often to add epsom to offset the abundance of calcium in my water. Im gonna have to bite the bullet and buy the water report for that spring I collect from so I can get a good ratio.

I figured I'd share, girls are in full stretch mode. They probably grew about 2 inches over the day yesterday and last night. All my secondary branches on the watermelon have gotten past the net and the main branches just shot up. Measured the distance from the canopy to the light yesterday and it was 18" from the tallest branch, today it was just under 16. I suppose some could be the branches turning back towards the light, but those secondary branches dont lie
