New Grower Fabric Pot Nightmares !!

So iv been an avid user of fabric pots for a few years now but am really considering a change.

I'm sure many of you share the same frustration when watering !!!

I find unless I water in small doses I loose the majority through the sides of the pots. It can be A pain sitting there watering in dribs and drabs especially with multiple plants to feed.

So my question is this, have any of you come up with a solution to combat this problem. Before suggesting light and airy mixes with lots of perlite that's already what I use.

I feel the same bro. Went back to plastic pots and now i can water without leakage through the sides, and lift the pots without damaging the roots.

I'm just an average grower, so no difference to my yields either.

Yeah I'd actually like to see a true side by side comparison. I currently have 2 plants same strain growing in one fabric and one plastic pot. But the fabric pot is way bigger so the plant is also bigger. I think I may trial 1 of each the same size on my next run.

I've been using felt pots for years myself. I use coco and put clay pebbles on top. I water by dumping two 16oz cups of water in the pot at time. I literally dump them to flood the pot and add o2 as it cascades through the pebbles. It takes 6-8, 16 ounce cups to water a five gallon pot. I barely manage to get the outer pots completely west.

You guys need to do s root comparison, you would never go back to plastic of you did. You want many small feeder roots, not ropes running around a pot looking for a way out.

Go with air pots if you don't like fabric, but stick with root pruning they'll prove out to you in time.

The roots in the fabric pots are so much better looking i agree, but I don't smoke the roots and get the same yield in my shitty 2x2 tent setups.

Easier watering is what i need when struggling with a loft grow.
