Indoor First Grow Journal - Northern Lights !

Awesome pics bud :D
I see you got there a real girl!
Why did you choose nuts over soil? Are they better?

Glad to see your NL, just awesome plant, gonna be my next buy ;)

Cheers
Crisp

Thanx bud , nuts tho ? im growing in perlite/coco mix if that what you meant.
its better because the coco increases certain things such as easier for roots to grow & bud taste from what ive been told.
also the feeding you give your plant , the coco absorbs and spreads throughout the whole medium evenly, compared to if you grew in dirt that one spot you poured in would only be wet.

--TIPS & ADVICE PLEASE!!!--

Soo ive been reading up on topping autos and i came across a thread on a different forum and it was stating how you shoulden't top autos, because genetically they are forced into flower and it will stunt growth, is this true or false?
As of today she's 4 weeks into veg & eating those nutes up ! Also they stated its good to give your plant at least a weeks period of 24/0 after topping to stretch, i have her running 20/4 & have been since seeding stage.
I also "lollipop'd" her about 2 days ago at the base, pretty much got rid of all the lower branches with no sight of colas.
 please help and offer further info about topping my NL auto!

SourPower :smokebuds:

Hey SP, you topped her? I was under the impression you were doing an Auto NL, but I suppose that was an assumption on my part. I guess this is a photo? Give me some info on this lady, is it stright up NL or a NL x ? or NL#?.

She is looking great BTW!

Ahh, yes, you shouldn't be topping or lollipopping. Those are photo techniques that should not be used for Autos. You want her to be as stress free as possible and you want as many side branches as you can get. The more branching the more buds because she is going to flower pretty soon and there is no delaying it. Once she starts flowering your possibilities for gaining more vegetative growth is over. The thing with Autos is, you just want to keep them happy, no need to deploy anything other than some LST if you want.

It is what it is now, just try to keep her happy and put those scissors away! You won't need them.

Yeaaa i just topped her earlier around 3pm. & im not sure if its straight up or not honestly but she definitely a NL Auto from G13 Lab seeds. However the same info in the beginning of my journal still remains the same. As far as nute feedings & lighting/temp.
What do you think as far as the topping situation ??

& Thanks i can tell my roots are spreading around my medium evenly, leafs are starting to turn nice & greeen

Ahhh man okay cool ... giving her any additional nutes wont help her veg growth any?

Hey bro, it is what it is now. She will be fine but probably not produce as much as she would have. Honestly, I haven't seen an Auto topped. Maybe I have and didn't pay any attention, I look at a lot of grows not just here but in several places. But from what I can remember I haven't seen one.

Just keep her happy, don't over think it and enjoy the grow. That is what makes Autos so much fun compared to photos, you really don't have to do anything out of the ordinary to them. Just feed them and keep them happy.

Okay thanks for the advice bro ! :smokebuds:
I'll continue to keep the same lighting schedule, & may boost the nutes up a little as she reaches flowering.
I'll be posting soon tho to update ! :tiphat:

Well, that depends. It may if she can use them but it may cause more harm if you get a build up of excess nutes in their. She looks perfectly fine right now so don't change what you are doing with the exception of the torture techniques. :brow:
