Hi I am just getting away from soil and found myself using coco lizard bedding rinsed of course, and clay pebbles mixed . The pH is around six and am using strait water for now . General hydro flora system on standby ,cfl 6500s, Nirvana NL auto, seedlings are two weeks old and I am getting a new set of leaves every other day on my stronger one their are three of them. Is there any thing else? I just want to get a feel for it nothing fancy right now. Any input is appreciated Thanks

Hi there buddy and Welcome to the AFN family :Sharing One: Sorry i didnt catch yout thread earlier.

So you desided going with coco, did you? well, nice choice

i recomend you to read around in this section, specially in the stickie threads..alot of great info to pic up in there to help you along with a good grow.

you can continue updating this thread and make it your grow journal..pictures is very helpful when you want advice on your plants.. so upload if you got any :)

if your girls are 2 weeks old it would be time to add some nutes :coffee2:

keep us posted and let me know if you want me to change the name of the thread, to make it your journal.

Hey Peardu,

After watching a friend grow in soil, and doing some research I opted in for soil less coco medium for my first grow. You previous know how of soil and plants will be useful but be prepared to take up a whole new way of thinking.
Coco is hard to overwater, and very forgiving. I use nutes in every feed. If a feed is to strong and starts to show on leafs, I just wash out with a couple lighter feeds.
I HIGHLY suggest you get PH and EC pens and document your input and output, it help you see what is/isnt going where.
You can check the link in my sig, I am on Day 30 now and encountered a few issues you may be able to avoid as a result I would hope.
Like RR said there are plenty of useful stickies, online resources and any specific questions can be voiced to the crowds, the people here at AFN are more than happy to help.
Get coco specific nutes, and a way of controlling/monitoring your micro herd. <--would be any advice I give to a new coco-eee.

Play safe,
stonedBRO:peace:
