I am new to the forum but not new to horticulture. I am about mid thirties, a woman never wants to admit her age, as irrelevant as it becomes after 30. I studied Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science and JUST finished my PhD in Science early this year. All through my studies I have focus on plant biology and applications in medical science. I fell in love with growing and plants when I met my great grandfather and his African Violet collection.
I have ALWAYS been against Marijuana and 'Illicit Drugs'. Then I had a VERY BAD car accident. I was on Morphine for ages and almost lost my liver as a result. Clearly traditional meds weren't working and curiosity and pain led me to Cannabis. It had such a profound effect on my life that I focused what studies I could on it and here we are. The condensed version anyway.
I didn't like buying the drugs here is Australia and when I lived in California, the cannabis wasn't as good as could be grown which has led me to the inevitable point that we are at now. I tried growing a few plants in uni days for study but it was so highly regulated that I gave up.
Plant wise, I like to think I know it all ( I don't ) but growing wise, I am as fresh as they come. Sure, I have a massive head start over a LOT of newbies BUT plants, like people are so higly dynamic that no matter how well I know how to grow and diagnose say, Jade/Emerald Vine ( Strongylodon Macrobotrys ) Cannabis is a very different beast thus I am here to learn and soak up all I can.
I look forward to meeting all of you eventually.
Special shout out to BillyWu who's think different grow led me here, impressive work mate. I am reading a lot of you other guys, you all should have been in my PhD program.
