Hello organic growers. Im making a water only mix today just waiting on the mushroom compost to get here. I will let it sit for 50-60 days then after that, 1-2 gallon pots it is. Here's the mix....

5 gallon home compost(with earth worms still it)

5 gallon mushroom compost

1 cup kelp meal
1 cup greensand
1 cup granular azomite
1 cup soft rock phosphate
1 cup granular gypsum

3 cups lime

I also have some oatmeal/mycorrhizae and humic acid. ..just not sure how to use it. What are your thoughts guys? I will report back when it's finished :Sharing One:

Sounds good to me except you might want to add some perlite for drainage and aeration.

About 20 - 25% perlite should do it. If the humic is granular, add it to the mix now. If it's liquid, save it to add to your water when you feed. Save the myco until you plant. Without roots there's nothing for it to do and won't become activated.

You're welcome. If you don't have one, you might want to consider buying a Control Wizard Accurate 8 soil probe. You can find them for around $50 on the net. I think you would find it very handy for checking the pH of your new soil mix. http://www.hydroponics.net/i/136610

I'll be sure to grab one. I made the mix today and its nice and warm in my laundry room. Its inside a Rubbermaid bin with holes poked all around the sides. I will put a pic up in a bit.

I would add some neem it will really help keep the bugs away and the myco love it.
The mycorrhizae need to come in contact with the roots so as a soil amendment is ok. As soon as you make contact with the roots it will spread and create a highway throughout the root system.

Hey im back.

Okay here are some pics . They are from a mobile phone so not the best. Also are some pics of my stone dragon at day 17 in a soil mix a previously made but the ph is super high like pass 8. It cooked for 3+ months so i decided to use it because i didn't have anything else on hand. Now i put it back outside until i get my iron sulfate to get it under control. I added i cup gypsum and 6 cups coffee grounds to try to bring it down a few days ago. Now its kinda warm again. On to the pics.....
