Lighting LED only thread (the manual)

Im seen new ufo stealth leds today they have ones with almost sillent fans and other ones with no fans there 7 inch 50W do 2 square feet but thry do much bigger . They look legit im waiting fore more info back il stick up a link if anyones intrested I seen a few complain about noisy fans. :peace:

I'd take that with a pinch of salt mate,i wouldnt imagine a 50w would cover 2ft square space

I wouldnt imagine a 50w (actual draw most probably less) would grow anything over an 8th lol
With UFOs, go 100w+ :smoke:

Thanks a lot. I'd been keeping it at 12-18" a little more height would be nice.

If you go higher you may encounter your plants stretching as 90w is not very much light mate.your probably right about 1sq foot coverage and personally I'd keep doing what your doing.:smokebuds:

Reds right dude you can end up stretching. Light hight isn't really uniform over all the different makes and models things like the power of the chips ie 1w 3w ect,the power of the unit and optics will all make a difference. The age of your plant will allow you to get the light closes too, example seedlings I have the light 30 inches away and full flower I can get as close as 12 inches.

I'm a 240W blackstar man in a 2x2 space. She performs beyond what I expected. Very happy with her. I read so much on LEDs before I took the plunge. Before I set up roots here, there was a lot of mixed feelings I read about going this route. After thumbing through journals here and watching people really make it work, I dove right in.

Good stuff mate  the 240w is ideal for that space and is a great choice, doing your research paid off and glad your happy with your LED :smokebuds:

Man did someone forget to invite Dub to this led party :jump::jump: Well people say a lot of negative things about leds my brothers  But I can show you they can grow a jungle with a little bit of tlc

Thats 18 plants at almost 10 weeks in a 4x4 space :D

Ah the magnum, I've admired that light before. You must be great at tetris to get all that green in that space dub. When you water do you take them all out and repack? My spot will be jammed packed in a month and the logistics of watering has recently occurred to me

That's what I was reading. People just turning their noses up, but that is SO not the case. And that is pure beauty. I've had my eye on that 357 if I ever upgrade to 4x4.
