Lighting LED only thread (the manual)

My own humble contribution on LED at this point:

1. a 240w has proven sufficient for a 2x2 grow space
2. a 600w has proven overpowering for younglings in a 4x4 space

I finished my last grow on a 240w BS. No complaints as the moment :smoke:

Have you grown any plants yet from start to finish under your LED mossy? How you finding the led mate,I was very impressed with what adz grew with his :smokebuds:

You know I never got a full run in with it with the last few months I had..and I had a couple of disasters..
a set of part grown Dragons..got Soft mold..a second weren't much better..
But..
it was Me.....

being a majority outdoor grower my pots are wet...far too much for LED's...

so I cut it..and the third set are the result.

Looking Good..apart from a couple of splash/burns.

I have a few other pots of sprouts coming up..but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep them....
so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed...:thumbs:

2x Hydro Hut pro grow 180 Led's

I've done 2 runs start to finish with these hydro hut pro grow led's and have been very happy with the output. Customer service is also fantastic. They have been running 18/6 multi-spectrum for about 4 months without a break and I have not experienced any problems. Girls finish off frosty and dense.

Oh yeah and my electricity bill dropped waaaaayy down. Thinking of getting 2 more of these units in my 2x3x5 tent if it would make any difference at all.. Debating on it still..

Thats what I'm Hoping to hear..my grow light gets the blame for all the extra useage in the winter.

Red told me which one to get...so I am totally a puppet.....or was that muppet..

and I have to say the Customer Service got 100% from me.

Because of problems with Spanish customs..they shipped them to the UK..paid duties on my behalf and shipped them on for me.

Not many companies would do that for you..:thumbs:

I was thinking of getting some LEDs after xmas. Blackstar seems to be the one that everyone talks about. I was hoping to buy it here in the UK, does anybody know a hydro shop in London that has them set up? I usually use two shops, one in Fulham and one in Islington. I would rather buy from a shop than online so any help would be good.
I don't have time now to read all the posts on LEDs but i get the impression they are a work in progress.

When I was lookiing for an led in store it was basically impossible,most shops would try to put you off them because they don't sell them,they'll try to steer you towards the gavita pro or the hortilux,buying online is ok as long as you buy from a proven and trusted uk seller(one with a landline/****** setup)like igrowleduk.co.uk or grownorthern.com,I've only mentioned those 2 because those are the two I've had experience with,hope this helps
