@Mossy what kind of snakes do you have in your area? Anything dangerous?

Snakes​

There are a total of 13 snakes present in Spain of which five are venomous. These are:

  1. Seoane’s viper (Vipera seoanei – víbora de Seoane)
  2. Asp viper (Vipera aspis – víbora áspid)
  3. Snub-nosed or Lataste’s viper (Viborade lataste – vibora hocicuda)
  4. False smooth snake (Macroprotodon cucullatus – culebra de cogulla)
  5. Montpellier Snake (Malpolon monspessulanus – culebra bastarda or de Montpellier)

I've seen asps in Spain while hiking. Not a fan either! You've got plenty of snakes where you are. Timber rattlers. copperheads, masssauuas and lots of non venomous ones.

Timber rattles are all over the place here in Appalachia. Eastern diamondbacks are here and can get huge! Also, copperheads and water moccasins. And that's just the poisonous ones!
