oh shoot! also, I had her in 12/12 bc one of the other plants wouldn't change (bad genes). She is good to go though for sure. She def. got the potential to get big in your setup. I'll keep my eye on it!

Im gonna come off 24/24 to. 20/24 on Christmas day she'll be in second-third week then. big was not my aim with this grow but if it does I will be ready to embrace the challenge..
With all the amazing help off my auto flowering friends, I know I can do this..

Quick question??? The very tips of my biggest leaves have gone brown(by no means does it look serious) Could this be overfed?? I bumped nutes upto 0.9 yesterday?? Ph is at 5.8..

Need some input guys...?

Any body able to help?? Not only have a few tips gone brown, my new airpump and stones has snapped a piece of root off overnight, and seems to be lots of little white bits in the solution, possibly bits of root(i only changed res 3 days ago).. Can my airpump be to strong?? The maxi doesnt look bad or like its being affected??

What should I do??

While it has been years since I last did hydro, I can at least answer the question about the browning of the tips. Yes they are being slightly overfed. I would cut your nutes back a bit. Can't help with the airstone question though.

Thanks for your input its greatly apreciated.. it has used up .1 of the nutes today so im gonna leave it a night.. Im gonna try and run it at its max, it just looks to good.. I will keep it at 0.8 for one more week and bin my idea of 0.9 for week 2.. KEep lookin in my friend think im gonna need a bit of help on this one

Do you have a very fast churning of your water with a boil of O2? If so it might be a bit much and I'd turn down the pump a bit to a low- med. boil.

Yea, you might have given her a bit much on the get go. Don't think it's gonna matter much now unless she continues to increase leaf-curl and browning after 3 days. Then you def. need to cut back your strength a bit.

Does your temp gauge give you an overall view of your temps "peak"? I would reset it every time you check. Excessive heat and low humidity after having very great conditions can cause leaf- curl and some edge browning as well.

i would have said it was a medium boil, the bubbles are reasonably small and well distrubuted with two 4inch rings..

i know i did run it a bit high, i felt i had to as water ec was as 0.4-0.5 and it may lack in feed if i only put say 0.1 of nutes in??
i have no thermo/hydrometer.. my res temps are at 22oC with thermostic aquarium heater. from previous experince with soil grownig and hps lights i can quite happily say my room temps are very good.. cfls are hot but nothing like the hps. im gonna need some serious ventilation in the last 3 weeks!!
my leaf tips are curled up a bit is this not healthy? and im pretty sure the tips are ok now only 3 of the very tips went brown.
im learning alot with this one, thanks for your help bro..

it's chill bro. I don't mind helping if I can. I'd invest in a hydro/therm. Maybe one with a external type of sensor? I love mine. THey're not bad in price maybe $20 I think. It's good to know what temps get up to while you are away.

Just let me know to back off i'm offering too much advice or help. It's your grow, I'm just you're bro. I'm still no expert either though.

Gearbear you have and most definitely are helping, I joined the forum to share the love of my grow while obtaining priceless knowledge from top growers like yourself..
I did have a,thermo/hydrometer ill av have a look for it, the hydro shop is shut for Christmas now.. Iv got good air movement and replacement,room gets air replace 10x per min, temps overnight were at 21oC according to vivarium thermometer...

So here I am at day 12.. the maxi is looking sweet and doesnt seem to have any problems. Ph is on 5.9.. Ec at 0.8.. Going to change to just grow feed today, and switching light to 20/24 tomorrow. No further problems have come from roots breaking, she now seems to be handling the excessive amount of air I am giving her.. All in all im pleased with my current progress..
yesterday I went to see my friend who took the other two maxi's.. He has them in a flo gro system, but unfortunately been overfeeding them.. I put him on a flush out and today he says they have come to life.. He
Seems to have 2 different phenos, but still is a bit early to say..

So here is some pics of my maxi in dwc on day 12, compared to friends on day 12..

Please rate my plant so far, is it doing well for 12 days? Its my first auto guys, I dunno...

The plants are looking good, p.l.u.r. Autos usually spend most of the first couple of weeks building up the root system before they show major growth above ground, so I think you'll see lots of new green in the coming days. :smoke:
