So im sure we've all seen the commercials by now for miracle grows organic soil in the green bag. I had to see it to believe it. Its omri listed to boot..
Is this soil any good worth using?

Last time I tried it in with my normal mix I got tons of bugs, mostly those PITA white flys.

I called them on it and they said they couldn't do anything about bug eggs / larvae as it happens.

The girls loved it, but I didn't because of the bugs.

Your mileage may vary

Its pretty cheap... idk... mabey ill do a few in it and a few in another higher end brand.

It has manure in it?

There were 2 different kinds of organic in green bags back when I tried it. One was heavy on fertilizer and one was better for drainage if I remember right.

The one I tried was the heavy fertilizer one, and that's why I only mixed it in. But I don't remember the exact composition as I gave up on it after one try and a billion happy bugs.

No fertilizer in it i think. It doesnt look like itll drain very good. Very dark black colored. Not that thats a bad thing color wise.

Ill have to pick up the blue lab soil ph stick and see what she comes in at

Stuff I used was very dark black.

What I tried was 4 or 5 crops ago, things may have changed.

PS: I'm old, anything they add I just call fertilizer.... chicken, bat, chemical, if they put it in the soil I just call it fertilizer....

I guess I will also need to get used to using correct names for nutes... someday... LOL

yeah that natures stuff from MG is ok but needs to be used with no less(imho ofcourse) than two other type of soil to mix the texture or one other and perlite coco n so forth.just simply due to the fact its essentially shaved peat.its fine.decent as a simple organic base.but alos understand its heavy on the peat so its truly a very wasteful product.but work well if worked lightly.but i personally wont recommend it but i work with it cuz thats what ole pop buys.organic and cheap.sooo im left holding the blending bag.yup.lol im fix to mix 2 bags and one other organic choise from MG as well.far better since its a plain soil not peat heavy at all. fair texture blend well with coco and a lil perlite.

Those peat bogs need a rest from what ive read ha. Yeah its pretty cheap for sure. I bought a little bag this morning and mixed perlite with it. It actually drains under 2 seconds so this is actually a good medium.
Now we'll see if it grows this lilly bulb i buried in her.
