Grow Mediums Non-Circulating vs Circulating Hydroponic System

Hello,

I ve seen few videos about non circulating hydro system, which motivates me to try one hydro grow.
I never tried hydro, what is the main difference between circulating and non circulating hydro grow?
actually I want to try it the way as it is on

how often should I change water with nutrients?
do I loose something with the non circulating method?
what are the best nutrients for it?

Hey @temple_of basically recirculating is where the nutrient solution is moved around with a water pump.
Mostly its used for dwc systems with 2,4,6 or any other configuration of dwc buckets that are plumbed together and share the same solution of water and nutes.
It can also be used for 1 dwc bucket or a system like a 'wilma' where the solution is pumped from the reservoir to the base of the plant via drip lines- the excess then runs back into the res.

Non recirculating hydro is where one plant his its own reservoir like dwc/ bubble bucket

Depends on bucket size but for a average size like 3 gallon i would say every 7-10 days for a new grower.
I like the general hydroponics flora series but many growerd have good results with other brands like advanced nutrients, remo, house and garden. Its person preference

Its possible but really uncommon, some growers use it in a green house but you need power for your airpump which can be a problem

The problem outdoor will be keeping your water temperature down. Over 75 degrees and you're more likely to have root issues. Best water temps are between 66-70.

With a recirculating system it's easy to hook up a water chiller to keep your temps consistent. You are also sharing common nutes between all the plants, so it's best to run all the same strain rather than mixing since different strains have different nute requirements. In non recirc you can run your pots individually making it easier to control multiple strains. In run an 8 bucket rdwc with a chiller and a top off res to replenish nute solution. I change my system about every 21 days. rdwc systems are better for production type growing where you're getting a lot of a particular strain. If you like variety, dwc is probably the better option. Since you're new to hydro, I'd suggest starting with dwc while you learn.
