Hello I'd like to invite everyone to chime in on my 2nd grow. I have very limited vertical space 46". I have a 38"*38"*30" tent with the res recessed in the floor of the tent. I call it a Cubic Meter Grow although it's a couple more inches than a meter tall.

Inside I have a Mars II 300W draw LED a 60W daylight CFL, a Lasco clip on fan and a Lacrosse remote humidity, air and water temp sensor. It's ventilated with a carbon filter. The hydro unit uses a combination of DWC and top drip.

My first grow was 6 SS Fast But which was more plant than my system can handle comfortably. By the middle of the grow I had roots taking up so much space in the 3 gal res that it turned into a 2 gal res and the plants were drinking 1 gal of water a day. It wasn't always easy to keep up.

This time I am planting 2 AK-48s (they're soaking right now) hoping that 2 plants will be more manageable. Ultimately I'd like to develop a system that easy to use and fool proof. Please let me know if I'm doing it the hard way. It's my specialty;)

Micro growers do you primarily restrict the height of your plants by the type of plant you choose or by the size of the pot you grow your plants in?

Does anyone have any experience with Sagarmatha Seeds AK48 Autos? I popped two seeds into water Fri and they're still sitting at the bottom of the glass, ungerminated. How long should I wait until soaking more seeds?

Therev are several techniques you can use to keep them small. Small pots is one way. There are many micro grows posted on here you should check them out for info. Seeds can take as long as 2 weeks

Hello pop22, I've been poking around reading. I'm trying to adapt my technique to the hydro unit I have. I hoping SCROG will do it for me. I'm not sure if I can adapt the hydro unit. Thanks

Day 5 - AK 48 Nothing to tell. The seeds are looking comfortable resting in the bottom of a glass. My rockwool cubes are ready and so am I. I can't wait for the new grow!

I don't think AK47 tends to be a small plant either. SCROG is definitely the way to go in a small space. start LST when its still small. Scrog it by the time it 10-12" tallDon't just let the plants grow up thru it, weave the branches and the top of the plant thru the net. I've done a mini scrog that worked out well.

One of my seeds may be beginning to crack. They are definitely a lot slower that the Fast Bud I grew last time.
