They both pull around 120 Tru watts from the wall I have them as far as I can to the top of the tent do u think it's to much light for 2 by 2 by 48?

I have a mars hydro 300w in my 2x2 and I wish I had some extra lighting on top

EDIT:
So I just checked the actual wattage and its running on about 125 watts. Optimally you want at least 150 watts for a flowering plant MINIMUM. Knowing this I'm gonna hijack your thread and ask for suggestions for supplemental lighting

If you have less than 150W worth of grow lights in total, your grow is underpowered for cannabis growth (even for just one plant). Cannabis plants need a lot more light than many other types of plants. If you don’t have at least 150W worth of lights, it’s important you add more total grow light wattage to your grow room to make sure you’re getting the best results you can.

That's broscience.
You can grow a plant even with 20W light. But yield will be 5-40g, depending on quallity of light.

Look into my signature for Critical+ 2.0 and WW XXL ---> they're under 140W of light. I expect around 350g.

It was taken a little out of context for the whole article. I will admit that you can grow just fine with less wattage but the point really of growing is for yields. Obviously potency and quality are important but the sheer factor of light will influence the plants yields the most. In any case, your 140W will always beat my 140w equivalent from LED because of the technology your light uses

So 2 x 120 = 240 W over 2'x2' = 4'sq --> 60 W/sq ft.
It's good. Higher than base minimum, but def not too much.
Just mind the temps, that's all.

To reword it into a satisfying answer. The plants will grow even with minimum light, but will have small yields. It is true that there is some calculated wattage per square foot or something american like that, but it's also important to note that those watts are most likely calculated for HPS at who knows what height. You have to realize the importance of PAR ratings, because you can have things like COB's that are so efficient, they really take low watts but put out PAR at great efficiency, so that's why you can see some people growing under 100, 150, 200W COBs and get amazing results.

For example, if you look into my Sin Tra Bajo, you'll find that I did an entire grow (first grow ever) with some chinese galaxyhydro 300w that takes about the same real wattage outta the wall and I got 60g's per plant.

It's really down to Wattage over area, not just straight Wattage.
Otherwise, check out some micro grows with just 50W or so, but in tiny space.
Usual minimum for HPS / HID is 40 W / sq ft = about 400 W / m2.
150 W for 2'x2' = 4 ft sq is prob fine at bare minimum.
Can def go higher, e.g. up to 1000 W / m2 = 100 W / sq ft.
Just have to mind the temps, esp with HID / HPS lamps.
