Good Morning, afternoon, or evening depending on where you may be at. This will be my 5th run and Ive chosen to grow exclusively in Earthboxes. Lets get to it.

Equipment:
39"x39"x72" Mars Hydro Grow tent
Mars Hydro FC-e3000
AC Infinity 6" Cloud Line Fan w/ automated system
1 Earthbox Jr.
1 Regular Earthbox

Tent is sitting around 75°F and 70% Humidity and the light is high and turned up to help keep the tent warmer. DLI is around 20.

Medium:
I am reusing BuildaSoil Light mix. This will be the second run. I scraped off the top layer and reamended the Earthbox with 1/2 cup of craft blend. Then grew BAS 12 seed cover crop for a few weeks before ripping it out. Then added a handful of seedling soil where I planted the seeds.

I did the same thing with the EB jr, but the soil came from the 7 gal pot. So it was mixed a bit more. I technically had enough soil for 2 EB Jr's but decided to put the extra soil in a pot outside and run another freebie outdoors.

Ive watered both with Silica, Quijalla and recharge weekly. Ive also added Enzyme Elixir once as well. I direct sowed the seeds in soil yesterday. I have had 100% germination this way. Ive also had success soaking the seeds and using Mephisto's germination as well.

Genetics:
Earthbox Regular:
Jean-O - Root Beer Float
Twisted Tree - Jimmy Jacks

Earthbox Jr.:
Night Owl - Invader Zam

What do the clovers do?

I believe the cover crop is a mix of clovers and legumes. Both of which are nitrogen fixers. They form a symbiotic relationship with a bacteria that can process nitrogen out of our atmosphere, store it in the soil and make it available for other plants to use.

In short, the clovers are adding more N to the soil.
There’s also an added benefit after I chop the cover crop down too. The decaying roots and plant matter add more fertility to the soil as well.

Great answer. I learn something new every day. :headbang:

Day 7
All seeds popped last Tuesday. All growing fine so far. Only been misting the top of the earthboxs twice a day. Tent stays between 70-78 F and around 70% humidity.

Really like that planter you're using as a stand for the Jr. Might have to steal that idea! :pass: :pighug:
Heck ya dude! First I tried propping it up on two small pots, then I tried a bucket and then a box before I found this planter. Good height and stability. The jrs are quite a bit smaller than the regulars

Day 14 Update
They are 2 weeks old now and cruising along. I have been spraying the top soil daily and have watered in recharge weekly and added Enzyme Elixir once.

Day 14: I top dressed the earthboxes with a mixture of BuildaFlower, worm castings and 1 cup of craft blend. Then I watered 1/4 gal in the Jr and 3/4 gal in the regular. I added silica, quillaja and recharge to the water. Then I covered the earthboxes with their. Hoping to fill the rez in another week. Might fill the jr rez a little sooner.

I also decided to start posting the Suki way, one plant per post. I've noticed it makes navigating the journals much easier.
