seems like I’ve seen multiple people harvest at “day 56” “day 60” “day 65” from sprout. I have a loupe, checked my deez nugs, and sure enough there are some amber trichs.

I’m used to my no name brand autos taking 90-110 days. Could my Mephisto gear possibly be close to harvest at day 60? Just seems too quick but man these genes are special! Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to hear they finish quick but wanted more opinions.
Thanks!
Here’s two deez nugs colas I just whacked!

Photos don’t do it justice. I wouldn’t say these are “purps” but there is a lot more purple/violet hue to the buds than the photos show. The scent, I’m not getting any strawberry. Very orangey? Fuel smelling, skunk. So sticky....

Why leave it to opinion, lol? Let's go with facts from the horses mouth.. Of course there are variables involved like the phenotype you get, and the size of the pot used, lights ect. But Mephisto provides a solid time frame for all of their strains. Ive ran a bunch of Meph gear and the longest Ive ever gone was 84 days.. In a 4 gal autopot, with a 4ft tall sodk. 60-70 is normal for quite a few Meph strains.

I was only iffy on their times, because I’ve never seen one breeders times ever on any forum actually hold true. That’s often the most knocked on thing about breeders is their lies in harvest times.... every plant (about ten of them) non Mephisto in my tent would be chopped if I followed breeder recommendations harvest time. However all trichs are still clear.

This isn’t the case with Mephisto it seems, and I thought it was too good to be true. Damn. Deez nugs coming down soon!!

Thank you for the input BTW

Yeah, totally been there. Its getting a lot better though. The well respected breeders don't do that kind of stuff. Like Mephito for example, the pic says 70-80 days "from sprout".. That's huge information. Most iffy breeders say stuff like "8 weeks" and that's it. Autos still veg and still have a flower time, so instead of telling you that they mean "8 weeks of flower", they just leave it as saying 8 weeks, which is misleading. But unless you get a monster pheno, you can expect most of the Mephisto lines to finish in a true auto time frame of under 80 days from germ.

That’s awesome. I understand the true difference is light cycle forcing flowering vs not is what makes autos, but to me, if it doesn’t finish in under 90 days, it should be called something else like late-Auto or something. If you can run a photo in the time it takes to do an auto... well why?

Anyway, I’ll stop bothering you with the notifications. Thanks for the help! Glad to know my stuff is towards the end!

You can run an auto 18/6 or 24/0 the whole way through...

There are too many factors at play or that are playable here. You as the grower can control the harvest date within a rather large window. As another poster said, genetics come into play, but once your buds are passed a certain stage you can keep them in that stage to develop further or you can advance them quickly to the finish line. It's about food, water and stress level.

Do you have any advice on accelerating the time to harvest? Things i can manipulate in the tent like nutes or temp or even UVB.

In some cases I will be growing to produce sedative meds so they will be left longer to get nice and amber. If I can make the whole run faster then maybe I can get the amber trichs I want faster too.

The following strains : Heisenberg Special, Deep Blue C, Sour Bubbly, Triangle Kush all went around 100 days and not even 10% amber at that point under 2 , 400 watt lamps, MH and HPS on 18/6 in organic soil. Let the plant tell you when it's done.
