Hello fellow gardeners! What a wonderful time in history to be alive and to be a part of the change in attitude towards cannabis. With the passing of Question [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG], the legalization of recreational cannabis, in November, as of January 1, 2017 - I am allowed to grow due to the fact that I am 25 miles away from a dispensary. I am allowed to have up to 6 plants per adult, two adults at my home - 12 plants. There is no external way to enter my fenced in backyard, so that stipulation is covered too.

I could start a indoor grow but I really do not have the space. However, I have an established organic veggie garden, compost pile and lots of red wigglers. I have a 90 day growing season with cool mornings and hot days. I get lee wind gusts up 40 mph, occasional thundershowers with hail and the potential for the first freeze over Labor Day. Hence, why I am choosing autoflower strains and joining this forum.

I start planning my garden in January when the seed companies start sending catalogs. I envision the day when I get cannabis seed catalogs in the mail, but for now, I shop on line and learn form others. So thanks to all that have posted in the past!

Thanks! It so good not to be a "criminal" anymore. I love research and this forum has lots of information. Hopefully, I will be able to give back this summer!

Very, very happy! There is a senator in Las Vegas that is already pushing for public consumption with the intent of making Vegas the next Amsterdam. Yea Nevada!

@MateraGaia - thanks for the journal suggestion. This is going to be a big learning experience for me. I am in a unique high desert environment (Zone 5a) and most journals are geared towards growers in area with high humidity and rain or indoor grows. However, first I need to figure out what strains to grow. More research...

No idea what a 5a is but you mention dessert so i imagine a pretty hostile place to grow.at the other end of the spectrum is trailanimal growing in the extremes of the north.trails greenhouse grow is worth checking out
Good luck
