Genetics: Auto Seed's Auto #1

Grow Area: 3 gallon equivalent Airpot (yellow bottom, about 2.2 gal actual) in a 24"x16"x40" box lined with mylar (emergency blanket type), vented by a 4" duct fan through a diy carbon filter. A 6" clip-on fan and a cheap Temp & Humidity gauge are inside as well. The fan is always on at least Low unless otherwise indicated. Temperatures are 75F - 80F, humidity 50% (+/-10%).

2.5 gal mix: 7qt Coco, 3qt Perlite, 1 cup Bio-Tone Plus, 4 cups Worm Castings, 2 Tbls Lime

Water: 2.5 gal container of tap with a small pump and airstone running 24/7

Nutrients: General Organics Go Box, Sensizyme, Black Strap Molasses

To get caught up:
9/4 even. 1 Seed sown, plain coco, in small fibre cup (jiffy pot?).

9/7 morn. Sprout just starting to show. Airpot 3 gal equivalent filled with coco mix. Bottom removed from fibre cup and whole cup planted in a hole dug in the middle of the Airpot so that just the rim shows above the surface.
Current Light: 1 x 23w cfl bulb, 6500k (blue spectrum), about 26 inches away.

9/8 morn. Leafs up, giving it just enough water to keep the medium moist. MOIST! not wet, not damp, MOIST! lol

9/9 morn. Same but taller, added a red cfl.
Current Light: 1 x 23w cfl bulb 6500k (blue spectrum), 1 x 23w cfl bulb 2700k (red spectrum), about 26 inches away.

9/10 morn. 2nd set (first defined) of leaves are out. Giving only water sparingly twice a day. Added a blue cfl.
Current Light: 2 x 23w cfl bulb 6500k (blue spectrum), 1 x 23w cfl bulb 2700k (red spectrum), about 26 inches away.

9/10 even. Same. Added a 23w cfl bulb 2700k (red spectrum).
Current Light: 2 x 23w cfl bulb 6500k (blue spectrum), 2 x 23w cfl bulb 2700k (red spectrum), about 26 inches away.

9/12 morn. Same, leaves getting bigger. Added 1 x 40w cfl 6500k (blue spectrum)
Current Light: 2 x 23w cfl bulb 6500k (blue spectrum), 2 x 23w cfl bulb 2700k (red spectrum), 1 x 40w cfl 6500k (blue spectrum) about 26 inches away.

9/13 even. 2nd set of defined leaves showing, still water only.

9/14 morn. Seedling is slightly stretched and leaning. Used a small amount of coco mix to bury the stem a little more and gently straightened using mix to support. Moved lights closer, about 6-10 inches from the plant.


9/15 even. Stem looking better, leaves growing quickly. Some yellow on the edges of bigger leaves.

9/16 morn. Leaves growing fast, more on the way. 1st feed, .5L with .5mL of Grow, Cal-Mag, Root, Marine, Weed, and Black.

9/19 even. Growing fast, some faint trace yellowing and curling up at leaf edges, heat maybe?

9/20 even. More pronounced yellowing. Likely magnesium deficiency. Whether it's ph locked or actually deficient I'm not sure. Trying epsom salts with another feeding. This feed is 1 mL each of Grow, Cal-Mag, Root, Marine, Weed, and Black with .25 tsp Epsom Salt in 1L of water .

Will do, thanks! There is a white fan clamped about mid-cab. I realize now that I used waaay too much Starter, and I buried my starter pot too deep, not much of a Tier lol. Anyone notice any other glaring fails I can rectumfry?

Ya beat me to it CGR but here it is anyway. I think we should move dognuts to the Coco thread although its a Micro it will get more Coco eyes on his grow. :tiphat:

Your soil looks very wet, I would ease up with watering. To fix the mag deficiency just foilar feed with a teaspoon of epsom salts to 1 litre of water or use cal/mag.
A weak daily feed to leaves can make a big difference.

Hi friend. I'm not sure about your plant problem but I have had some experience growing micro with cfl's. You need to get the plant 8 to 10 inches from the bulbs. I've had mine 2 to 4in away. Really they can be as close as you can get without getting to hot. As long that you have good air flow you should be fine light wise:stylez rasta smoke:

I fed earlier than I would have, to get a dose of Cal-Mag and Epsom Salt in there. I'm digging around for a sprayer for foliar now. I hope this isn't lockout from excess calcium due to so much Bio-Tone and the Lime.
